So I stumbled across UR-NEST Moline during one of those late-night booking sessions – you know, when you’re scrolling through endless options and suddenly find something that just feels right. Located on Via delle Moline, which honestly sounds way fancier than it is (it’s actually a pretty charming, narrow street), this place sits right in the heart of Bologna’s university district. And I mean right in it – you’ll hear students chatting in Italian as they walk by, especially in the evenings when the whole area comes alive.

The thing about this hotel is that it gets Bologna in a way that a lot of places don’t. The building itself has this restored industrial vibe – think exposed brick and modern touches without trying too hard to be trendy. When I walked in, the lobby had this warm, lived-in feeling that immediately put me at ease. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. They pointed me toward this tiny osteria about three blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it ended up being one of those meals you remember years later. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – clean, comfortable, with those little touches that show someone thought about the details. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious for a European hotel, and the shower pressure was actually decent (always a gamble, honestly).

What really sold me on this place was the location – you’re a 10-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, but you’re also surrounded by the kind of Bologna that locals actually live in. There’s a fantastic market just a few streets over on Via Ugo Bassi where you can grab fresh focaccia in the morning, and the whole area is perfectly walkable. I mean, Bologna’s not huge to begin with, but staying here puts you right in the sweet spot where you can duck into authentic trattorias without fighting tourist crowds. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the most luxurious place in the city, but it nails the fundamentals while giving you that authentic neighborhood experience. Plus, if you’re planning to explore the university area or catch a show at one of the smaller venues nearby, you’re basically already there. Just be aware that it can get a bit lively on weekend nights – not rowdy, just… alive, which I personally loved but might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

  Удачное расположение аппараментов в центре города, близко к достопримечательностям, большая жилплощадь. Кухня и санузлы оборудованы хорошо.
  
  What could be improved: Чистота неидеальная, включая посуду, уборка продолжалась даже когда мы уже приехали. Нам это компенсировали в форме скидки. Лифт не работал (из-за прошедшего наводнения, не по вине хозяина). Было трудно найти место на машине.

  Good location, spacious, wifi, tons of storage, cute little terrace.
  
  What could be improved: The main bed was maybe 4 inches thick and the coils dug into my 85 kg body and my wife. Single beds in second room slightly better. Most comfortable bed was easily the pullout bed upstairs with the heavily yellow stained duvet. AC/heat unit didn't work and also didn't turn off.
  I've had units tell me to start the laundry or collect linens, but have never had to take out all of my own trash down an alley that needed a key card to open. Also, bring your flashlight when entering and leaving at night. It is very dark getting from the outside door up to the third floor. Outside noise level was a bit high due to proximity to city.

  What could be improved: Comme le logement est dans une zone de trafic restreint, il n'y a pas de parking et il a fallu laisser la voiture dans un parking relativement cher.

• Perfect location for exploring Bologna – Mika from Ireland – 28 June 2024 (9/10)

  The location is amazing. Gelateria directly across the street, bar right next door, a huge range of restaurants and coffee places within a two-minute walk. 10 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore, 15 to the train station. Yet up in the apartment you'd never know you were so close to all this – it's completely quiet and peaceful. A nice spacious apartment, with large bedrooms, and a whole extra living space and second bathroom upstairs. Plus effective A/C in each room, which was a must for us.
  
  What could be improved: The cooking facilities are somewhat limited – though enough to get by and this didn't bother us particularly, as there were so many choices for eating out right outside the door. The only minor thing that could be improved in the apartment would be new/upgraded mattresses/beds, as they were a little uncomfortable (to me, though the rest of my family seemed fine!).

  Jak na wyjazd z kolegami spoko. Jak przyjechaliśmy było czysto. Pod mieszkaniem lodziarnia czynna do północy. W okolicy restauracje. 2 toalety więc do jednej można było spokojnie wybrać się na dłuższe posiedzenie. Sporo łóżek/ kanap. Eleganckie wyście na balkon gdzie można było zapalić.

  What could be improved: L'ascensore su 10 volte 7 non funziona e una volta sono rimasta chiusa dentro ed ho dovuto chiedere l'intervento dell'assistenza per uscire. Decisamente da far revisionare
