You know what surprised me about Pasubio Apartment? It’s actually way more than just another place to crash in Bologna. I mean, when I first saw the address on Via Pasubio, I’ll be honest – I had to look it up. But turns out this little street is perfectly positioned between the historic center and the more residential bits where actual Bolognese people live, which honestly makes all the difference.

The building itself has that solid, unpretentious feel that a lot of Italian apartments have – nothing flashy, but you can tell it’s been thoughtfully converted. What really got me was how quiet it stays, even though you’re close enough to walk to Piazza Maggiore in about fifteen minutes (I timed it). The owners clearly know their stuff because they’ve managed to soundproof things properly – no thin walls where you hear every conversation from the hallway. And the apartment setup? It’s like they actually thought about how people travel. There’s proper counter space in the kitchen, decent lighting for reading, and – this might sound small but trust me – enough outlets in logical places so you’re not doing some weird phone-charging dance every night.

The 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you stay there. It’s not trying to be some boutique hotel experience, but everything just… works. The Wi-Fi is solid (worked perfectly for video calls), the shower pressure is actually decent, and they’ve got this whole check-in process down to a science. Plus, and I only figured this out on day two, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Via del Pratello, which is where you want to be for authentic osterie and late-night drinks without the tourist markup. The morning routine there is pretty sweet too – there’s a proper coffee bar right around the corner where the barista actually remembers your order after a couple days. I found myself looking forward to that little ritual, honestly. What really sealed it for me was the practical stuff nobody talks about in reviews. Like, there’s decent natural light throughout the day, the heating works without being noisy, and you’ve got enough space to actually unpack if you’re staying more than a couple nights. It’s the kind of place where you settle in rather than just surviving until checkout. If you’re the type who wants to experience Bologna like you’re temporarily living there instead of just passing through, this is your spot.

  Amazing property, clean, modern and spacious! It is located in a lovely quiet neighbourhood outside the city centre. We mainly walked into the city centre but there are good transport links (bus stop located nearby) if needed.
  Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend!

  Very secure. Front door and windows geared towards safety. Parking. Clean. Good directions and communication. Great shower. Washer with nice drying racks.
  
  What could be improved: Even with my adapter for my curling iron, the outlet ruined my curling iron. Make sure to get a super duper international plug. Mine always worked before this. Bed very soft and easily creates divets. Got use to it.

  location, friendly and organized communication with owner for arrangement for check in and checkout, cleanliness of property, and availability of all facilities in property.
  
  What could be improved: not related to apartment, but it was interesting to see how street parking in Bologna was not easy to find, thanks to owner who organized free parking for us. Would be more comfortable to stay in Bologna and use taxis and other forms of transportation than using a car.
