So here’s the thing about tHE Superstars Home – and yes, that weird capitalization is actually how they spell it – this place totally caught me off guard in the best way possible. I mean, you’re walking down Via Malcontenti (which honestly sounds way more dramatic than it actually is), and suddenly there’s this beautiful restored building that feels like someone’s stylish Italian uncle decided to open a boutique hotel. The 8.7 rating makes perfect sense once you’re inside, though I’ll admit the name had me skeptical at first.

What really gets me is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between authentic Bologna character and modern comfort. The rooms have these gorgeous original details – we’re talking exposed beams and old brick walls – but everything actually works properly, you know? The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, the shower has decent water pressure, and the air conditioning won’t leave you either freezing or sweating. It’s that kind of thoughtful restoration where they clearly spent money on the stuff that matters to travelers, not just Instagram-worthy lobby furniture. And honestly, the location is pretty genius if you want to feel like you’re living in Bologna rather than just visiting it. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM.

The neighborhood itself is what sold me on this place – Via Malcontenti puts you right in the heart of the university area, so there are these incredible little osterie and wine bars that locals actually go to, not just tourist traps with English menus. There’s this amazing little place called Osteria del Sole literally around the corner where you can bring your own food and just buy wine, which sounds weird but is actually brilliant. The morning routine here is perfect too – grab an espresso and cornetto from the bar downstairs (because of course there’s a proper Italian bar in the building), then wander through the Quadrilatero market streets that are maybe three minutes away. I actually found myself looking forward to mornings, which never happens when I travel. The staff really knows their stuff about the city, and they’ll steer you toward the good mortadella spots without making you feel like you’re on some cheesy food tour. One small thing – the elevator is pretty tiny, so if you’re traveling with massive suitcases, just mentally prepare for that. But honestly, for a 4-star place in Bologna’s old town with this kind of character and location, it’s exactly what you want.

  Los ventiladores deberian de arreglarlos pues en la velocidad tres en adelante hace un ruido impresionante que no te deja dormir, tanto el del salon, y de las 2 habitaciones, ademas la luz del mismo ventilador se ponen en intermitente, sobre todo el de una habitacion.

  Posizione strategica, in pieno centro. All'arrivo l'appartamento era fornito di diversi beni di prima necessità, sia in cucina che nei bagni.
  
  What could be improved: Gestione della prenotazione approssimativa e ritardataria. Non abbiamo mai ricevuto una mail con le istruzioni per il check-in. Una volta davanti il portone della struttura e dopo diverse chiamate, abbiamo ricevuto le istruzioni per entrare. La gestione della struttura è approssimativa e intacca l'esperienza del soggiorno. Infatti, è un peccato, considerando la bellezza dell'appartamento, perdersi in un bicchier d'acqua: una delle porte dei due bagni era rotta, la maniglia assente, i termosifoni impolverati, l'armadio di una delle stanze presentava un lucchetto dimenticato aperto e dentro abbiamo trovato asciugamani e lenzuola sporche degli ospiti precedenti, sicuramente lasciate dall'impresa di pulizie, nella speranza che rimanessero occultate. Una delle mensole a mo' di comodino risulta staccata dal muro e quindi è inutilizzabile. In generale, è difficile comunicare con chi gestisce la struttura, in quanto le risposte sono spesso tardive. Inoltre, si potrebbe tranquillamente evitare di contattare i responsabili se solo si adottassero dei semplici accorgimenti: fornire uno schema con le informazioni riguardanti la raccolta rifiuti, fornire la password del wifi, configurare gli extender wifi, che risultano inaccessibili senza le credenziali dell'amministratore. Nel complesso l'approssimazione nella gestione della struttura risulta un peccato e una nota stonata, a fronte delle potenzialità dell'immobile e dei costi elevati d'affitto.

  Ottima posizione e pulizia dell’appartamento. Gli host sono sempre stati disponibili e facili da contattare, sia prima che durante il nostro soggiorno. Eravamo un gruppo di amiche e abbiamo apprezzato anche la bottiglia di vino che ci hanno fatto trovare all’arrivo, consigliatissimo!
