The kitchenettes are actually functional – I’m talking real counter space and appliances that work, not those tiny hotel fridges that barely fit a water bottle. Perfect for grabbing fresh produce from the morning market near Porta Saragozza and making yourself a proper breakfast.

Location-wise, this is where it gets interesting. You’re about a 15-minute walk from the historic center, which sounds far but honestly isn’t – especially when you discover that gorgeous portico walk that leads right into the heart of things. Plus, being slightly removed means you’re not dealing with the crowds and noise that come with staying right in Piazza Maggiore. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where you’ll find yourself nodding hello to the same shopkeepers each morning. There’s a fantastic little osteria just two blocks away that I stumbled upon purely by accident – the kind of place where locals actually eat, not just tourists following Google reviews. The bus connections are solid too, though I found myself walking most places because, well, Bologna’s just that kind of city.

What really sets this place apart is the staff’s approach – they’re not hovering, but when you need something, they actually know the city inside and out. When I mentioned wanting to find good mortadella (because you have to, right?), the woman at reception didn’t just point me toward the nearest tourist trap but gave me specific vendor recommendations at the Quadrilatero market.   It was spotlessly clean and very quiet.
  
  What could be improved: It was advertised with photos of two double bedrooms. In fact, there was only one double bedroom and one room with glass doors and two single beds. Only one of the beds was made up. It was a good 20 min walk from the city centre.

  Prompt reaction to any need. The sink was a bit stuck, they fixed it in 10 minutes. They let me check out later than official.
  
  What could be improved: No shampoo in the bath. I used my own. the shower gel was good. Nice towels too. The apartment door was hard to open sometimes, it needs to be lifted a bit for the key to run smoothly. Indoor slippers would have been nice

  Self check in worked great through texted instructions but we still had a responsive person to answer questions. Spacious place. Basic but very functional.

  Nice location, about 15 minutes walk from the city center and near the bus stops. Good connection to the train station and coach station. On the other side of the street, there is a supermarket and there are nice restaurants and sorbeteria in surrounding buildings.
  Check-in was not a problem, we were able to leave our luggage earlier. There is free wifi, a washing machine, a balcony, dishwasher, an AC unit in the living room and bedroom. In the lobby there is a vending machine with local beer – it accepts only cash, but there is a machine to exchange paper money to coins.
  Instructions via email were very very detailed and helpful!
  Overall good stay.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment went through restoration and it looks a bit different than in the pictures. Previously it looked better, but now it looks cheaper.
  There was some stuff lacking like a tray to the electric oven or only two dishwasher tabs.
  Also there is no staff on-site or anyone to help you with bags if you would need it.
