casa Guido Reni Overview
So I stumbled across Casa Guido Reni during one of those late-night booking sessions, and honestly? Best accidental find in Bologna. The place sits on this quiet residential street just off Via Stalingrado – you know, that main drag that everyone uses to get around but nobody really talks about. What struck me first was how the building itself has this understated elegance thing going on. Not trying too hard, if you know what I mean. The kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel like you made the right choice.
The rooms are what really sold me though. They’ve got this perfect balance of modern comfort without erasing all the character – wooden floors that actually creak a bit (in a good way), and these windows that open properly, not those tiny hotel slits that barely let in air. I mean, the bathroom tiles alone probably cost more than my monthly rent, but they don’t make a big deal about it. What I really appreciated was the attention to sound – you’re in a residential area, so mornings are just birds and the occasional Vespa, not the usual city chaos. The bed situation is seriously good too; I’m talking about the kind of mattress where you actually sleep past your alarm.
Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the historic center, which sounds far but honestly isn’t – especially when you discover that little pasticceria on Via del Pratello that opens at 6:30 AM. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood, too. Not just the obvious tourist spots, but they’ll tell you which osteria serves the best tortellini en brodo (it’s not the one in all the guidebooks, by the way) and where to find parking that won’t cost you thirty euros a day. Speaking of which, they’ve got a garage situation figured out, which if you’ve ever tried to park in Bologna’s centro storico, you’ll understand is basically priceless. The whole experience just feels… authentic, I guess? Like staying at a well-connected friend’s place rather than some corporate hotel where everyone’s reading from the same script. Plus, that 8.9 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where small details are handled right, from the way they remember your name to how the morning coffee actually tastes like coffee.

Reviews of casa Guido Reni
If you're visiting Bologna – stay here. – Karen from United Kingdom – 12 April 2025 (10/10)
What did we like? To be frank – everything! The apartment was a terrific size and stylishly furnished with an eclectic but chic mixture of antiques and modern styles. Equally, Simona ensured that key features for a highly comfortable stay were modern and efficient. Two great bathrooms with rainhead showers, large well lit mirrors and sensible sinks. The water pressure was fantastic and the hot water? Plenty of it.
Beds very comfortable too. Noise outside was pretty much non existent- the occasional enthusiastic conversation of young students as they walked down Guido Reni but nothing that would keep you awake. Actually, we thought the street was very quiet.
Throughout the booking process, Simona was an assiduous and courteous hostess and Jonny, at check in, was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you.

The apartment was beautiful and very well equipped, it had everything you could possible need. There was coffee and snack in the kitchen which was thoughtful. We very much enjoyed our stay. Simone was very helpful and easy to contact if we needed to. There are lots of restaurants in easy walking distance and also the train station.
