Couples absolutely rave about this spot (they rate it 9.4, and honestly, I get why), because you can wander the porticoed streets hand-in-hand without dealing with tourist bus chaos. The university quarter is also walkable, so there’s this nice energy from students mixing with locals at the nearby cafes.

The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of historic charm and modern comfort — you know, exposed beams overhead but a bathroom that actually works properly. They’ll point you toward the best osteria for dinner or tell you which gelato place the locals prefer (hint: it’s not the one with the longest tourist line). There’s no restaurant on-site, but honestly, with Bologna’s incredible food scene literally outside your door, you don’t need one. The common areas have this relaxed vibe where you might chat with other guests about where they found the best tortellini — it feels more like staying at a well-connected friend’s place than a standard hotel.

  This was an exceptionsl experience – a contrast of antique and modern. We were happy to have a very modern room with all the comforts- a huge comfortable bed, very tasteful and minimalist design. In terms of layout, all the rooms seemed to be fairly well spaced apart. The shared space maintained in historical decor was very spacious. With a fully equipped kitchen which we didn’t use, and a dining area which led to tje balcony through French doors.
  
  What could be improved: We were happy with our 2 nights’ stay but the room could use curtains or blackout blinds for the window.

  Location was great and the bed was very comfortable. Spacious room and very nice bathroom. Very big closet.
  
  What could be improved: The property is very aristocratic but we didn't get to use much of anything else other than the room. The kitchen was equipped but you needed to wash everything before use as it was dirty. Many doors in the room not leading anywhere made my daughter feel strange. The mirror in the bathroom too far to use for make up etc. A closeup mirror would solve the problem. Also lacking a big mirror. A little expensive for what it offers but prices are like that in Bologna.

  It was easy to find the entrance and the way. It was very nice to be given a place to put our belongings before check-in. The cleanliness, hot water, and the comfort of the bed were very nice. You can cook in the common area. If you go to Bologna, I would recommend staying in this historical and beautiful central location.

  The building is welcoming and comfortable. Rooms are big and bed is nice. We stayed both in a room facing the exterior, with high ceiling and quite charming, and an interior room, not as charming but still comfortable.

  The location is within walking distance to everywhere. We stayed in a very clean and very comfortable room. The bed was large, big and comfortable. They answered all our questions immediately and took very good care of us. Thank you very much for everything.
