Couples seem to really get this (they’ve rated the location 9.5, which honestly doesn’t surprise me), because there’s something romantic about being able to wander these medieval streets without constantly checking your map or worrying about getting back to some distant hotel.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was well-appointed without being flashy — think clean lines, comfortable bedding, and those little touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The windows open onto the street, so you get that authentic Italian city soundtrack, but it’s not overwhelming. Actually, I found it kind of charming to hear the morning bustle of locals heading to work. The bathroom was modern and functional, which after a day of walking around Bologna’s cobblestone streets, you’ll definitely appreciate.

Getting Around and Practical Stuff

One thing that really struck me was how easy it is to navigate from here. You’re close enough to the train station that arriving and departing doesn’t become a production, but far enough into the center that you feel like you’re staying where the action is. The staff seemed genuinely helpful with directions and recommendations — not just the touristy stuff, but actual places where locals eat and hang out. There’s also decent parking options nearby if you’re driving, though honestly, once you’re here, you probably won’t need your car much.

  It was a very clean apartment which looked quite new. The bed was comfortable which is always important. The location close to all the important city sights was excellent.
  
  What could be improved: I would have liked to have a shelf in the shower where to keep shampoo and soap. Now it was only possible to keep them on the shower floor. Also, a coat rack in the entrance for a coat would have been nice.

  Very nice location, easy access to plenty of bus lines. It is a few minutes to walk from the center, but we were excited by the nice Mercato Delle Erbe two minutes away, where we bought fruits, vegs, and spent some nights with friends to enjoy pizza, pasta, bread, wine and much more served by small booths. Furthermore: on the opposite steet side there is a Bassetti outlet!
  
  What could be improved: The appartment was not exactly that we have expected since the pictures on booking.com show three different appartments and it is a miracle what you get. The bed was too weak, so that we put the mattress on the floor. However, we enjoyed the stay. The person from the service is extrremly nice and so we have no reasons to complain…

  The person who checked us in was on time, professional, and polite. The location and the access to the building and elevator were great. The apartment was renovated and spacious.
  
  What could be improved: The house rules were a bit over the top as they included items such as washing the dishes and taking out the trash. It was also stated how many rolls of toilet paper we'd be provided, as well as various scenarios where we would be charged for checking in at a time other than we originally provided.
  The couch was dirty as well as the extra comforter provided. We took the comforter to a friend's place to wash.
  The bunk bed was unstable and the floor was cold. Some rugs on the floor would go a long way in the winter months.
  There was a nespresso machine and hot water kettle but no coffee or tea. Wouldn't hurt to leave guests a few coffees or tea packets at check in to make them feel welcomed.

  I liked very much the location and the size of the apartment. Plus the appliances were more than enough, my favourite was the ironing board and the iron 😁
  
  What could be improved: I didn't like the fact that there was no cleaning service, even though in the pricing breakdown I saw we paid 30 euros for cleaning. For 5 nights we should have at least an additional bedsheet and pillow cases along with extra towels and we would have changed them.
