This four-star boutique property sits tucked away on Via Nosadella in the Saragozza district, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. You’re literally in the heart of everything — I mean, they’ve got a location score of 9.5, which isn’t something you see every day. The entrance might be a bit tricky to find at first (it’s interno 4 piano T), but once you’re there, you’ll understand why couples rate this place so highly.

The Perfect Bologna Base

What I love about staying here is how authentically Bolognese the neighborhood feels. You’re not in some touristy bubble — you’re where locals actually live and work. The Saragozza area has this wonderful residential vibe, but you can walk to the city center in about ten minutes. There’s something really special about stepping out in the morning and grabbing coffee at the corner bar where everyone knows each other’s names. The university district is right there too, so there’s always this nice energy in the streets.

The Space Itself

The room design here is thoughtfully modern without being cold. FR(EE)DA has this interesting approach where they’ve kept some of the building’s original character while adding contemporary touches that actually work. I appreciated the attention to detail — good lighting for reading, proper outlets where you need them, and windows that actually open (you’d be surprised how rare that’s becoming). The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, and the whole space feels more like a stylish apartment than a typical hotel room.

Local Flavors

While there isn’t a full restaurant on-site, this actually works in your favor because you’re surrounded by some of Bologna’s best local spots. The staff here really knows their neighborhood — they’ll point you toward the osteria that makes the best tortellini or the wine bar that stays open late. I found their recommendations to be spot-on, the kind of places you’d never find on your own but are exactly what you’re hoping to discover. There’s also a decent kitchenette setup if you want to grab ingredients from the morning market and have a quiet breakfast in.

  Good space, will fit up to 4 people – very close to center easily walked to in 10 mins. Great place on the corner for all times of the day. Comfy beds. Could leave out small suitcases in the locker once we checked out. Host was amazing! Quick to reply and got us checked in a bit earlier.
