It’s tucked away on this quiet cobblestone street in Saragozza – honestly, I almost walked right past it because it blends so seamlessly into the neighborhood. But that’s exactly what makes it special. You’re staying in an actual Bolognese residential area, not some touristy bubble.

The building itself has this warm, lived-in elegance that feels authentically Italian without trying too hard. I mean, you can tell it’s been thoughtfully restored, but they kept all the character – the original terrazzo floors, those gorgeous high ceilings that actually keep the rooms cool in summer. The staff here really gets it too; they’re not just going through the motions with that fake hospitality thing. Maria at the front desk (she’s usually there in the mornings) knows every osteria within walking distance and will steer you toward the ones where locals actually eat, not the tourist traps around Piazza Maggiore.

What I love about the location is that you’re maybe a 12-minute walk to the historic center, but you get to stroll through these tree-lined streets where you’ll see grandmothers hanging laundry and kids playing in small piazzas. There’s this fantastic little market on Via Saragozza – just a few minutes away – where you can grab fresh focaccia for breakfast if you want to skip the hotel dining. Speaking of which, their breakfast setup is solid but not overwhelming; proper espresso, local pastries, and they don’t do that weird international buffet thing that feels so out of place in Italy. The rooms are what you’d hope for in a well-run 4-star place – comfortable beds, good shower pressure (seriously, this matters more than people think), and windows that actually open, which is surprisingly rare these days. I stayed in one facing the courtyard and it was perfectly quiet, though I imagine the street-side rooms might catch some early morning delivery trucks.

One thing that really impressed me was how they handle the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Need restaurant recommendations? They’ll call ahead for you. Want to store luggage after checkout? No problem. The little details work here – like having proper reading lights and enough outlets for your devices. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s the kind of place where everything just… works. And honestly, after a long day of wandering Bologna’s porticoes and eating your weight in tortellini, that’s exactly what you want to come back to.

Konumu sayesinde istediğiniz her yere rahatça ulaşabiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca check-out yaptıktan sonra valizlerimiz konusunda bize yardımcı olmaları, daha sonrasında taksi konusunda yardımcı olmaları çok güzeldi. Gönül rahatlığıyla kalınabilecek çok güzel bir ev.

  What could be improved: O ar condicionado não estava funcionando no quarto de casal, o que obviamente foi um problema com as temperaturas de Bolonha chegando a 35C. A equipe do Testoni Home já conhecia o problema desde antes da nossa chegada, e não nos avisou. Não mandou ninguém para resolver o problema durante os 6 dias em que estivemos hospedados lá, não deu nenhum posicionamento e empurrou o problema com a barriga até a nossa saída. Simplesmente escolheram nos ignorar.
  Adicionalmente, apesar do apartamento ter mobiliário e equipamentos novos, faltavam coisas básicas na cozinha, como escorredor de macarrão. Banheiro desconfortável, com box de chuveiro muito pequeno. O apartamento não tem nenhum ambiente de estar – apenas 3 quartos e uma cozinha.
