PANORAMA APARTMENT Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “apartment” in the name, I wasn’t sure what to expect from PANORAMA APARTMENT. But walking up to that top floor on Via Zamboni (and yes, it’s actually on the fourth floor, so pack light or embrace the climb), I got it immediately. The views are absolutely ridiculous. I mean, you’re literally perched above one of Bologna’s most happening student streets, and the panoramic spread across the city’s terracotta rooftops is exactly what you’d hope for in a place called “Panorama.”

What really struck me about this place is how it feels like staying in someone’s incredibly well-appointed Bologna home rather than a typical hotel. The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things – Via Zamboni is this amazing street that cuts right through the university area, so you’ve got that constant buzz of student life mixed with proper local cafés and bookshops. You know what’s great? You can literally roll out of bed and grab an espresso at any of the little places downstairs, then wander five minutes to Piazza Maggiore when you’re ready to do the tourist thing. The university quarter means there’s always something happening, but honestly, being on the top floor keeps you above most of the street noise. I actually found the gentle hum of the city below kind of soothing – it’s that perfect urban white noise that makes you feel connected to the place without being overwhelmed.

The apartment itself feels authentically Italian in the best way – not like someone’s idea of what Italian should look like, but actually comfortable and lived-in. The fact that it’s got a 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there; everything just works really well, from the kitchen setup (which is surprisingly complete if you want to hit the morning markets) to the way the light floods in during golden hour. I spent way too much time just sitting by the windows with a glass of wine, watching the evening scene unfold on the street below. The whole area gets this lovely buzz around aperitivo time, and you’re perfectly positioned to either join in or just observe from your perch. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the building has that solid, old-world feel that makes you sleep really well – thick walls, good bones, you know? It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time hanging out rather than just crashing between sightseeing marathons.

  The location was great. The views were even better. Even though you are right in town the apartment was very quiet. The owner always answered all questions promptly. She also arranged a taxi to pick us up when we left.

  We LOVED Alexandra's apartment. It was perfect for us. Everything was nicely done and in working order. It was a very comfortable space- I could live there! The location is excellent. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
