When I asked about where to get good tortellini that wasn’t a tourist trap, the guy at the front desk didn’t just hand me a generic list. He told me about this tiny place on Via del Pratello where his grandmother used to go, and honestly? Best meal of my trip.

Here’s the thing about Bologna that a lot of people miss – it’s not just about the food (though, I mean, “La Grassa” means “the fat one” for a reason). It’s about how the city moves, and this hotel gets that rhythm. You’re close enough to the university area that you feel the energy, but Via Marconi itself is more residential, so you see how people actually live here. Morning coffee at the bar downstairs feels natural, not performative. The whole area comes alive around aperitivo time, and you can walk to basically anywhere worth going in the centro storico. Parking? Well, it’s Bologna – you’re not driving anyway. The train station is close enough for easy arrivals, and once you’re here, everything’s walkable. The 9.3 rating makes sense when you realize they’re not trying to be everything to everyone. They’ve just figured out how to make travelers feel like they belong in Bologna instead of just visiting it.

  What a fabulous apt. Central, easy flat walk from station about 20mins, bus station across road. Right in centre of town to walk to all sights, cafes and bars. The apt is spacious, lovely kitchette that you can cook if you want. The double glazed window blocks out street noise. The bathroom was good size and shower lovely. Great security door. Lift that is fabulous. Great communication with hosts even though we didn't meet.

  What could be improved: Nothing we had a great time. Yes there is a bit of odour when you come in main door off street but in no way does it affect the apt.

  What could be improved: On enter the building there was a horrific smell – luckily it didn’t extend to the floor or the flat that the property is situated on.
  It was there all 4 days and could put you off from even going upstairs to the apartment.

  Nice clean and spacious room in the heart of the city. The hosts were so helpful with recommendations of places to eat and things to see and do in Bologna. They even booked us a taxi and did our dinner reservations for us! Great stay thank you 🙂

  Apartment was centrally located in the city.while only 1.3k.from railway station cost 7 euro. Apartment is located in the busy restaurant and tourist area.we had no problems finding our way around as there are many centralised ancient towers to use as a reference point

  Great location, close to city center attractions. The cool local market behind the building. The street is a bit noisy at night, but ok. The apartment is very clean and well equipped. Bed is comfortable.
