I found myself using the hotel as a genuine base rather than just a place to sleep – grabbing morning cappuccino at the bar around the corner, then coming back to regroup before evening plans. The front desk folks were always up for restaurant recommendations, and they steered me toward some absolute gems in the Quadrilatero that I never would have found on my own.

Look, Bologna isn’t exactly hurting for hotel options, but most of them are either sterile business hotels or quirky boutique places that prioritize Instagram-worthy design over actual comfort.   We had a wonderful stay in the apartment which is very clean and comfortable. It is equipped with all the necessities. Also, the location is perfect, close to the train and bus stations and 15 min walk away from the city center.

  Federico was a super accommodating host who was more than willing to help with anything. Getting in can be a little tricky if you don't have internet, as it relies on an app. Once that was sorted though, the room was beautiful and clean. Right next to the train station makes it easy as well when travelling.

  It was a very clean room, very close to the central train and bus station. If you want to travel around it would be better to stay close to the central station.

  The property was very clean and tidy and comfortable. For a solo Traveler, it was very secure once inside. The location was very good for access to Bologna Central Station from where you can access so many other locations of interest. It is only two minutes walk away. However, it is 20/25 minutes walk from the centre of Bologna. A nice touch is a kettle and coffee making facilities as well as some crisps and biscuits as a welcome snack.
  The host was very responsive when dealing with text messages to help out with the Wi-Fi. And communication throughout the booking process was very good.
  
  What could be improved: Worth noting if you are nervous about using technology, is that you need to use your mobile phone to unlock three separate doors before you reach your apartment. There is no one there to greet you so it is essential that you have your phone and it is fully charged!
  The Apartment is in a very busy location so you might near earplugs!

  What could be improved: The locks on the doors are complicated and frustrating. It is all digital and while there are step by step directions in the app, the doors are not all created the same. The suite door you must turn to the right but the room door turns many times to the left. If you try too many times to access it times out and won’t let you try again.
