The apartment sits on Via Marco Emilio Lepido in Borgo Panigale, which honestly sounds fancy but it’s actually this practical neighborhood that most tourists never see. And that’s exactly why I loved it. You’re maybe 15 minutes from Bologna Centrale by bus, but you’re also right in this authentic residential area where actual Bolognese people live their daily lives. There’s a little bakery around the corner where the owner – I mean, I don’t speak much Italian but she made sure I left with the best focaccia I’ve had outside of Liguria. The private parking thing isn’t just a nice-to-have here, it’s actually essential because street parking in this area can be… well, let’s just say Italians have their own relationship with parking rules.

What really impressed me was how thoughtfully set up everything was for people who actually need to get stuff done. The “smart working” part isn’t just marketing speak – there’s proper desk space, reliable wifi (I tested it extensively, trust me), and honestly the lighting is better than most hotels I’ve stayed in. The host clearly understands that some of us aren’t just here to sightsee. I spent three days working remotely from there and it felt more productive than my actual office back home. The apartment itself has this modern but lived-in feel – not that sterile Airbnb aesthetic where you’re afraid to touch anything. The kitchen actually has proper coffee (not those terrible pod machines), and the bed was firm enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been sleeping on a cloud made of marshmallows.

The airport connection is genuinely convenient – about 20 minutes by taxi, maybe 35 by public transport if you’re not dragging massive luggage. But here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: the neighborhood gets quiet at night. Like, properly quiet. No drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM, no constant traffic noise. Just the occasional scooter and maybe some late-night conversation drifting up from the street. After staying in Bologna’s city center the previous year (mistake – charming but loud), this felt like discovering a secret. You can walk to the Ducati museum in about 10 minutes if you’re into that sort of thing, and there’s this little trattoria called – honestly, I can’t remember the name but it’s two blocks toward the main road – where they do this ragu that made me understand why people get emotional about Bolognese food.

The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’re there. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything works exactly as it should. The host responds quickly, the space is immaculate, and you get that rare feeling of staying somewhere that’s both practical and genuinely comfortable. If you’re the type who needs to be in the absolute center of everything, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a real taste of how Bologna actually lives – with proper work space, actual quiet, and that perfect balance of being connected but not overwhelmed – this place gets it right.

  Such a nice and beautiful appartment, full of lovely details. If you visited Bologna City, it's like "coming home". Here is everything what you need to chill, cosy, very clean, under the cedar trees with a nice balkony. Near the appartment you will find coffee bars, little grocery stores. The hosts are very kind and super helpful. Thank's a lot for the support.

  I had a truly great stay at the apartment. Everything was clean, well-prepared, and exactly as described. The communication and service from the host were outstanding – very friendly, helpful, and professional from start to finish.
  
  One big plus is the option to park directly at the property, which made everything very convenient. The location is also great, with good restaurants and cafes nearby, and easy access to the city.

  Cozy and spacious. The apartment had all necessities for a longer stay. Private and secure property. Good connection to main roads. Very kind and helpful hosts! We were provided with lots of information to make our travel easier.
