You’re maybe a 12-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, but you’re staying where actual Bolognesi live and work.

The building itself has that understated Italian elegance thing going on – not flashy, but you can tell someone put real thought into the details. I mean, the 9.3 rating makes sense once you’re inside. The rooms have this warm, lived-in quality that feels more like staying at your stylish aunt’s apartment than some sterile hotel chain. The breakfast area overlooks a little courtyard, and in the mornings you can hear the neighborhood coming to life – kids heading to school, the coffee bar down the street firing up their espresso machine. It’s that authentic Bologna rhythm you can’t fake.

What really sold me on this place was how the staff actually knew the city. When I asked about dinner recommendations, they didn’t just hand me a tourist brochure – they started talking about this little osteria three blocks over where the ragu is apparently legendary (and they were right). The woman at the front desk even drew me a little map showing the best route to avoid the crowds when walking to the university district. These are the kinds of details that make a trip, you know? Plus, parking is surprisingly manageable for Bologna – there’s a garage nearby that they’ve worked out some arrangement with, which honestly saved me a huge headache. The whole experience just felt… effortless, I guess. Like someone had thought through all the little things that actually matter when you’re trying to experience a city properly, not just check boxes on a sightseeing list.

  Gazda a fost deosebita, ne-a ajutat cu multe informatii despre obiective de vizitat si locatii de luat masa. Ne-a pus la dispozitie o sticla de vin ( foarte bun), cafea si alte bunataturi pentru mic dejun. Locatia este foarte aproape de gara ceea ce pentru noi a contat intrucat am vizitat si alte orase/sate si am dispus de tot ceea ce am avut nevoie. Locatia am gasit-o usor si prin whatapp am primit toate detaliile pentru check-in. Ulterior gazda ne-a ajutat cu informatii necesare unei vacante cat mai reusite. Multumim.

  We had a wonderful stay in this accommodation! The location is perfect – very close to the train station – and the apartment is well-equipped and cozy, with everything we needed. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils, and the space is very comfortable and quiet.
  The host was extremely attentive, always available to help with local tips, city information, and even some extra requests we had.
  I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a personal touch in service.

  De locatie was ideaal en de mensen waren enorm vriendelijk.
  note bij "aankomst sleutels ophalen": op booking stond het nr van een verkeerd appartement waardoor ik eerst niet bij de juiste persoon zat. Je kan dus enkel met hen communiceren via de booking.com chat.
  
  De mensen zijn enorm lief, via de booking.com chat heeft ze ons suggesties gegeven maar pizzaria's, restaurants, ijssalons en de buurt voor jongeren..
  
  Je zit op kleine 20 min wandelen van het centrum, 12min wandelen van het treinstation en op 5 min van een aantal supermarkten.
  
  What could be improved: Het enige lastige is dat mensen (algemeen) in Italië heel weinig andere talen kunnen dan italiaans. Een vriendin had de sleutels er langs de binnenkant op laten steken en ons buiten gesloten en ze zijn ons wel meteen komen helpen (en zelf ons een koffie in een koffiehuisje gegeven), enkel is het bijna in gebarentaal alles communiceren, mocht je Italiaans niet kunnen. Maar wel heel lieve mensen, enkel direct contact is niet evident.
  
  Binnen in het appartement hoor je wel veel geluiden van andere appartementen (maar als je zelf in een stad woont in een appartement is dat niet nieuws).
