You know what caught me off guard about Futurism? The name actually makes sense once you’re inside – this isn’t some gimmicky tech hotel, but the apartments genuinely feel like someone’s vision of sleek, modern living. I mean, we’re talking about Bologna here, a city where most places lean heavy into that medieval charm, so finding these clean-lined spaces on Via Nazario Sauro feels refreshingly different.

The location is honestly pretty smart if you know Bologna at all. You’re tucked away from the main tourist chaos around Piazza Maggiore, but still close enough that you can walk to all the good stuff – the university area is right there, and you’re maybe ten minutes from those incredible porticoes everyone talks about. What I really appreciated is how quiet it gets at night; Sauro isn’t one of those streets where you’ll hear delivery trucks rumbling by at 6 AM. The Design Club Collection folks clearly put thought into the interiors – everything feels intentional, from the lighting (which actually works for reading, imagine that) to the kitchen setups that look like they belong in an architecture magazine but are surprisingly functional. I cooked breakfast a couple times and didn’t feel like I was wrestling with someone’s style-over-substance choices.

Here’s the thing though – and this might matter depending on what you’re looking for – the 7.3 rating isn’t unfair. The place delivers on design and comfort, but there are some rough edges that keep it from being exceptional. Check-in was a bit scattered (nothing terrible, just not as smooth as you’d hope), and honestly, some of the apartment layouts feel like they prioritized looking good over practical living. The bathrooms are gorgeous but tiny, and storage space is… well, let’s just say don’t pack like you’re staying in a traditional hotel room. But if you’re the type who gets energized by staying somewhere that feels curated and contemporary – especially in a city where you’ll spend most of your time wandering ancient streets and eating in trattorias that haven’t changed their menus since 1950 – then this contrast actually works really well. Plus, having a proper kitchen means you can hit the morning markets (Mercato delle Erbe is a short walk) and actually do something with all that incredible produce. The apartments work especially well if you’re staying more than a couple nights or traveling with someone who appreciates good design. It’s not trying to be everything to everyone, which I respect.

  Якщо чесно, то особливо нічого. Так як враження були зіпсовані. Те, що було нормально, воно апріорі має бути таким. Чисто, гаряча вода.
  
  What could be improved: Якщо ви з валізами, то беріть апартаменти на 0-му поверсі, вузький, довгий і неприємний підйом до апартаментів на 1-му поверсі. Дірки на простирадлі, відсутність ковдри, обдерті стіни, до WiFi так і не вдалось підключитись, дивне планування, диван стоїть фактично в коридорі, Уважно дивіться на розмір апартаментів, бо на фото вони інші.

  What could be improved: La ventola nel bagno cieco un po' troppo rumorosa. Anche su la struttura era pulita, una pulizia più accurata sotto il letto non guasterebbe. Vi è finito un cappellino che, una volta recuperato era pieno di polvere e quindi immettibile.

  Die Ausstattung gefallen uns. Auch die Lage. Man kann uberall zu Füß gehen. Wir haben unsere Gepäck dort an der Rezeption abgeben da wir zu fruh gekommen sind ab 9 Uhr kann man das Gepäck abgeben. Und auch bei Abreise, brauchten wir nach dem check out unsere Gepäck nicht überall abschleppen.
  
  What could be improved: Das fernsehen steht an der Wand zwischen Küche und Bett. Sehr unpraktisch. Es gibt kein richtige Heizung ( nur so ein kleine Gerät) und kein richtige Spiegel im Bad.
