Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Bologna apartments, and Studio Vita really nailed it with this one on Via de’ Fusari. The thing that hit me first walking up to the primo piano wasn’t just how beautifully restored the space is – it’s that they actually preserved the character of this old Saragozza building while making it feel completely modern. You know what I mean? Those original ceiling details and the way the morning light hits the rooms through those tall windows… honestly, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay just to drink more coffee at that little table by the window.

The location is pretty brilliant if you know Bologna at all. Via de’ Fusari is this quiet side street that most tourists walk right past, but you’re literally a three-minute stroll from Piazza Maggiore – I timed it because I’m nerdy like that. What I really loved though is how you can duck out for an evening aperitivo at one of the wine bars on Via del Pratello without dealing with the crowds around the main tourist drag. The Saragozza neighborhood has this lived-in feel that’s hard to find in city centers anymore, and there’s actually a fantastic little alimentari right around the corner where the owner (Giuseppe, I think?) will set you up with proper mortadella and parmigiano for an impromptu picnic. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place than a hotel – the kitchen is actually functional, not just for show, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase.

I mean, with a 9.2 rating you’d expect it to be good, but what surprised me was the attention to small details that actually matter when you’re trying to live normally for a few days. The wifi is genuinely fast (I was working remotely part of the time), the shower has proper water pressure, and – this might sound silly – but the coffee setup is legit espresso equipment, not some sad hotel pod machine. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters because Bologna can get pretty lively at night, especially when the university students are around. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward key-juggling you sometimes get with apartment rentals. If I had to nitpick anything, the stairs up to the primo piano might be a bit much if you’re hauling heavy luggage, but honestly that’s just old Italian buildings for you. This place gets booked up pretty solid during festival season and when the university is in session, so if you’re planning around those times, book early. It’s one of those spots that makes you feel like you’re actually experiencing Bologna rather than just passing through it.

  We loved the property! This apartment is a gem of a find. The location is to everything you need to explore Bologna, there is a trattoria below you for delicious traditional Italian food, shops, bars, beautiful churches, restaurants, a local supermarket and endless shops waiting to be explored. The beds are comfortable and the apartment is clean and has all the things you need to cook food, have a hot shower and relax.
  We’re definitely coming back from now on as the taxi only takes 20 mins from the airport.
  We like to thank Daniel at studio apartments for the communication when we arrived, during our stay and booking a taxi back to the airport when we departed, they are very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like!
  Please note the drains in Italy anywhere in the country, it is normal for them to smell occasionally especially if a storm is coming or it’s raining somewhere. There is nothing they can do about it.

  Hosts were responsive and welcoming. Apartment is spacious and in a wonderful neighborhood. Bus stop 7 minute walk takes you right to train station and it's only a 2 minute walk to the main square and Quadrilatero. We loved this apartment!

  This company is amazing. I hurt my leg a couple of days before checking in to a different apartment with only 5 stairs. They let us leave our bags while we walked around, then texted us when us when our room was ready. As we were going into the building, the young man from the office who helped us there helped us again with our luggage to the elevator.
  Once inside, I honestly couldn't believe how spotless this apartment was. The bedrooms were a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and had nice amenities and large towels. Large living room with fully stocked kitchen if you wanted to cook.
  They also have a large outside patio with tables and chairs and beautiful plants.
  I will come back here for sure and highly recommend this company.

  Superb location, just a few minutes walk from the main square. Very well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Spacious. Good communication from staff. We had an issue with getting in to the property and then had a power cut- staff replied to our messages and came and helped quickly.
  
  What could be improved: Unable to use dishwasher as not clean. There are issues with drainage system- there was a notice asking not to put paper down the toilet in the ensuite which we adhered to. However whenever someone showered in the ensuite bathroom there was an awful smell in the other bathroom, (like blocked drains).

  The apartment is so well located just a short walk to everything. Very spacious and clean. Staff communication was excellent

  Right at the piazza Maggiore, very good location, lots of restaurants. Apartment is really spacious, clean, comfortable, and an excellent kitchen, and generally just beautiful. Host had some extras to make the stay easier. It was a well organised contactless check in however the hosts were very responsive when the power went out and to bring us a 2nd key as there were 2 couples.
  
  What could be improved: Ensuite shower was a bit awkward to use. Initial getting the luggage up the stairs, and then back down.
