Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Bologna, and the Dante Suite honestly caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know how Via Dante is – right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to Piazza Maggiore in about eight minutes, but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night. The private parking thing isn’t just a nice bonus here, it’s actually a lifesaver because anyone who’s tried to navigate Bologna’s old center with a rental car knows it’s basically a nightmare of ZTL zones and streets barely wide enough for a Fiat 500.

The suite itself feels like someone’s stylish apartment rather than a sterile hotel room – I mean, there’s actual personality in the design choices. The owners clearly put thought into the details, from the way the morning light hits the windows to the fact that they’ve got proper coffee equipment (not just those sad little pods). What really struck me was how quiet it stays even though you’re literally in the heart of the city. I stayed there during a weekend in October when the university students were back, and honestly, I barely heard any street noise. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be some flashy luxury hotel, but everything just… works. The shower has actual water pressure, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the bed is comfortable enough that I actually overslept on my last morning.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – you’re positioned perfectly to explore the real Bologna. Walk two minutes toward the university area and you hit Via Zamboni with all its little osterie and student hangouts. Head the other direction and you’re at the covered markets where locals actually shop. The Dante Suite sits right in that zone where you can grab an early morning espresso at a neighborhood bar where the barista remembers your order, then wander over to see the Two Towers without feeling like you’re trapped in a tourist bubble. Plus, having that private parking means you can easily do day trips to Modena or Parma without the stress of moving your car around Bologna’s restricted zones. It’s the kind of place where you settle in and think, “okay, I could actually live here for a week” – which, honestly, is exactly what you want from a base in Bologna.

  Fantastic and attentive staff, great location, comfortable bed and living room furniture, kitchen stocked with all the essentials. Great hot water for showers too. And full sized bath towels. Felt like living in Bologna in a nice residential area and traditional building for a few days.
  
  What could be improved: Not really a negative as it is part of an authentic stay experience, plus all the positives outweighed the following….Walls are a bit thin so we could hear the neighbors talking at times. Not what they were actually saying, just the voices. Sound carries from the street, too.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay in Bologna. This apartment was a great choice – outside the ZLT, the private parking was really convenient and the apartment was close to the historical centre of Bologna, so we could walk and be in the centre within a few minutes. The apartment had all the things we needed for a comfortable stay – all the necessary and useful appliances and it looked really nice and cosy. We also liked the private entrance from the street. But most of all, we appreciated the communication between the owner of the accommodation and us – they replied to our messages fast and were very helpful and caring. The check-in and check-out were no problem. When we come back to Bologna, we´re going to stay here again – for sure.

  Dante Suite was a spacious apartment with every possible detail included. The proximity to central Bologna was excellent and car parking was a breeze with an undercover park in the same building, a few steps from the apartment. The apartment was tastefully decorated and the kitchen excellent, serviced with everything you need. Highly recommend staying in this delightful neighborhood in this roomy space!

  The reception on the first day was very nice with good explanation. The chocolates and bubbly for the New Year was especially appreciated. The apartment is in an excellent location; both in the historical centre and close to connecting roads.

  All the appliances and fittings were new or virtually new and it all worked well. Via Dante was a beautiful street within easy walking distance of the centre of Bologna being well serviced by public transport. The apartment was very comfortable and the owner was helpful with any things we happened to need. Actually – the building was attractive / modern ensconced in garden an trees which was pleasing to return to.
