Everyday Apartments Corte Petroni Overview

You know what struck me first about Everyday Apartments Corte Petroni? The name is almost comically modest for what’s actually a really well-executed place. I mean, when you’re walking down Via Petroni – which, honestly, feels more like a local residential street than tourist central – you might wonder if you’re in the right spot. But that’s exactly what makes it work.

The building itself has this understated Italian apartment vibe that doesn’t scream “hotel,” which I actually loved. You’re basically living like a local for a few days, and the apartments are genuinely spacious – not those cramped European hotel rooms where you’re bumping into furniture. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show either; I actually used mine for morning coffee and simple meals, which saved me from the tourist trap cafes that cluster around the main university area. Speaking of which, you’re perfectly positioned here. The university district is literally a five-minute walk, and Via Zamboni (where all the student life happens) is close enough that you’ll hear the buzz but far enough that you can actually sleep. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – you’ll see locals doing their grocery shopping, elderly gentlemen playing cards at the corner bar, that sort of thing.

What really won me over was the attention to practical details that someone who’s actually traveled would appreciate. The Wi-Fi works properly (not always a given in these older buildings), the shower pressure is decent, and – this might sound silly – but the beds are actually comfortable. I’ve stayed in plenty of 4-star places where you wake up feeling like you wrestled with the mattress all night. The staff knows the area well too; when I asked about getting to the train station, they gave me the local bus route instead of just saying “take a taxi.” It’s about a 15-minute walk to Piazza Maggiore if you want the full Bologna experience, but honestly, I found myself hanging around this neighborhood more than I expected. There’s a fantastic little osteria just around the corner that serves proper ragù – the kind where locals actually eat, not the tourist version.

The 9.1 rating makes sense once you’ve been there. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it nails the fundamentals while giving you that authentic Bologna experience. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where people actually live, not some sanitized hotel district. Plus, if you’re planning to explore other parts of Emilia-Romagna, you’re well-connected here without dealing with the chaos of staying right in the historic center. I’d definitely go back – actually, I’m already thinking about it for my next trip through northern Italy.

Reviews of Everyday Apartments Corte Petroni

  • Exceptional – Adrian from Australia – 13 July 2025 (10/10)

Very clean apartment with its own car spot. Spacious and with excellent air-conditioning 👌

What could be improved: The apartment had its own car park, but we had to pay to use it. And the sofa is a bit small, especially if you had more than 2 people staying.

  • Superb – Danielle from Australia – 9 July 2025 (9/10)

The apartment was large, lovely, clean and well equipped with everything you could need, and more!
Parking on site was definitely a bonus too.

What could be improved: The location was ok, very walkable to all the sites but in the thick of all the students etc

  • Very good – Chalani from Australia – 4 July 2025 (8/10)

    Clean, spacious

  • Great location, would stay again! – Adam from Ireland – 14 June 2025 (9/10)

Handy location, nice, modern and clean, decent amount of space. Easy to access.

What could be improved: No safe in the room. Communal fridge and kettle facilities with other rooms.

  • Amazing place! Modern, stylish, very clean with great location. We truly enjoyed our time here! Highly recommend for a s – Anastasia from Belgium – 4 June 2025 (9/10)

Very good central location, everything is within walking distance. Great parking, worth the additional fee. The room itself is very cozy and stylish, you can find everything you may need after a long touristy day.

What could be improved: Biggest issue we had – despite the stated “lift” in the facilities section, there is NO lift and a lot of stairs. This facility was our main filter while looking for accommodation in Bologna as were two young women with big suitcases. So we’d kindly ask the host to remove the elevator from the description and not mislead future guests.
Also two small things that can be worth changing – quite loud A/C and very bright light on the remote on the bed in front of the bed. Didn’t disturb us much though. Also not very clear how to use the towel dryer (since there’s no balcony, in case you need to dry smth it might be quite a challenge).

  • Comfortable and good location – Sorcha from United Kingdom – 3 June 2025 (8/10)

Very nice apartment in good location. Central but also quiet. Allowed us to store our bags on check out.

    What could be improved: N/A

  • Spacious apartment close to everything – Maggie from South Africa – 3 June 2025 (10/10)

Apartment is spacious with enough space to work/deposit luggage/cook a meal and dance while having a Campari Spritz. The bathroom is also large and ventilation is good.

  • Exceptional – Svetlana from Serbia – 31 May 2025 (10/10)

Amazing design, clean, new, great location

  • Great safe location, good not perfect. – Trotadordelmundo from Mexico – 20 May 2025 (8/10)

Good size apartment and bedrooms, very clean. A few amenities in the bathrooms and enough towels for all 3 nights. Location is very good and safe, students all around.

What could be improved: Kitchen and dinning are pretty small and no living space.
The blackout curtain onain room did not work.
One the the two bathroom has no place to put your bathroom stuff, no shelves or ledges to put anything, either on the sink or the shower, actually both showers have the same problem.

  • Great stay for anyone in Bologna! Right at the centre, large apartment with parking- amazing! – Daphne from Greece – 19 May 2025 (10/10)

    Parking inside building

What could be improved: Sofa bed not very comfortable
