Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to this place on Via Goito, I wasn’t expecting much from what’s technically called an “apartment hotel.” But honestly? This spot totally changed my mind about Bologna accommodations. It’s tucked right in the heart of things, maybe a seven-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, and you know what struck me first? How quiet it actually is for being so central. I mean, you’re literally surrounded by the city but the street itself doesn’t get the crazy tourist foot traffic.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home – not in a weird way, but in that comfortable, lived-in way that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately. The kitchen actually works (I made pasta there, obviously), and there’s this little dining nook where I ended up spending way too much time with morning coffee just watching locals head to work. The bathroom’s got one of those rainfall showers that… well, let’s just say I took longer showers than necessary. What really got me though was how the place handles the whole apartment-hotel thing – you get hotel-style service when you need it, but nobody’s bothering you every five minutes asking if you need fresh towels.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re there: Via Goito puts you in this sweet spot where you can walk to the university area (great for cheaper eats and that authentic student vibe), but you’re also stupidly close to all the main attractions. I walked to the Two Towers in maybe twelve minutes, and there’s this little osteria called – actually, I can’t remember the exact name, but it’s on Via del Pratello – anyway, it’s maybe a ten-minute stroll and serves the best tortellini I had in the city. The neighborhood itself has that perfect Bologna mix of locals doing their daily thing and just enough tourists to keep things interesting. Parking’s typical Bologna chaos if you’re driving, but honestly, once you’re here you won’t need a car anyway. The 8.7 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be some fancy five-star experience, it’s just really, really good at what it does. Perfect for couples or solo travelers who want to feel like they’re actually living in Bologna for a few days rather than just passing through.

  Excellent location. Spacious, clean apartment, well supplied with facilities. Comfortable beds and plenty of hot water in bathrooms.

  No facility for separating recycling of glass, plastics etc. We were asked to take our rubbish to a street bin.

  A lot of half used foodstuffs, but had to buy laundry detergent, coffee pods.

  The location of the apartment is amazing and check in and out was very easy.
  
  What could be improved: It does not have a living room and one bathroom has a Jacuzzi. A shower is preferable.

  Three large rooms, separate bathrooms, comfortable kitchen. Very clean, also the common areas in the building are top notch when it comes to cleanliness. Great apartment right in the center of the city. Easy check-in, with nice welcome note from the owner recommending some dinner places. Very impressed!

  The place was great. Close to town, restaurants, cafe, supermarkets, main piazza.
  Kitchen was great, we used it in the morning to sit around and have a coffee that we purchased from local cafe.
  Great having 3 bathrooms as there were 7 of us. I really enjoyed the whole feel of this apartment,
  
  Green room was best room, nice mattress and best air conditioning out of all 3 rooms.
  
  There were a few minor issues which we coped with as we only stayed a few night, but they may be more painful if you are staying longer (see what I didn't like). Still, this was a great place to stay, we loved the location.
  I would only stay again if they updated mattress' in some rooms and fixed aircon in rooms.
  THOUGH, If it is not too hot the aircon would not be an issue. We had 37c degree days which made it uncomfortable which was unfortunate!
  
  What could be improved: Mattress' in the YELLOW room needs replacing, I could feel the springs in my back, which made for an uncomfortable sleep, The air-conditioning in all 3 rooms did not work well at all, so we had to open all the windows so we could get cross ventilation in to sleep,
  I did end up sleeping in my daughter's room (green room) as this had better aircon and nicer mattress)
