You know what? I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Bologna over the years, but Creti Home 2 genuinely surprised me. It’s tucked away on Via Donato Creti – honestly, I’d never heard of this street before, but it’s actually perfectly positioned. You’re close enough to the center that you can walk to Piazza Maggiore in about 15 minutes, but far enough out that you escape the tourist chaos and those late-night university crowds that can make sleeping impossible in the heart of the city.

The place itself feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s apartment than a typical hotel. I mean, it’s got that 4-star rating, but the vibe is way more relaxed and personal than you’d expect. The rooms have this clean, modern aesthetic without being sterile – think contemporary Italian design that actually makes sense for living in, not just looking at. What really got me was the attention to small details that most places completely miss. The lighting is actually good enough to read by (revolutionary, I know), and there’s proper storage space so you’re not living out of a suitcase on the floor. The bathroom setup is smartly done too – they’ve managed to fit everything you need without that cramped, airplane-bathroom feeling you get in so many European hotels.

But here’s what I really appreciated – the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about good spots for aperitivo away from the tourist traps, they didn’t just hand me a generic list. They pointed me toward this little place a few blocks away where locals actually go, and honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite evenings in Bologna. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – no lengthy explanations of obvious things, just the useful stuff like when the nearest grocery store closes and which bus lines run late. The area itself is pretty quiet at night, which was perfect for me, though if you’re someone who wants to stumble home from bars at 2 AM, you might want to factor in that walk or taxi ride. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – it’s city parking, so you know the drill – but they actually have solid advice on where to find spots. That 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there; it’s one of those places that just works without trying too hard to impress you.

  What could be improved: Ma si potrebbe mettere qualche appoggio in piu in camera da letto con magari avere entrambe le arti del letto una lucina piccola….x il resto tutto perfetto…grazieee
