The building itself is one of those beautifully restored places that actually gets the balance right between historic charm and, well, having a shower that works properly. The lobby has these gorgeous original tiles that I spent way too much time photographing, and the staff – they’re the kind of people who remember your name and actually seem to care about whether you find that little osteria they recommended. I stayed there during the shoulder season in October, and honestly, the whole experience felt more like staying at a particularly stylish friend’s place than a hotel. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully designed – not huge, but everything’s exactly where it should be, and the beds are the kind you actually want to linger in (which I did, maybe too often given how much there is to explore in Bologna).

What really sold me on this place, though, is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re close enough to walk to the university area and all those incredible porticoes, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you can actually hear yourself think. There’s this little café literally around the corner where locals grab their morning espresso – I became a regular there, and the barista started making my cappuccino the way I like it without me having to ask. That’s the kind of Bologna experience you want, right? The market at Via Ugo Bassi is maybe a ten-minute stroll, perfect for picking up some of that incredible mortadella and Parmigiano-Reggiano that the region does so well. And honestly, after spending days wandering those medieval streets and eating my weight in tortellini, coming back to Corte Galliera 2 felt like a genuine retreat – the kind of place where you can sort through your photos and plan the next day’s adventures without feeling like you’re missing out on anything.   Eine Perle mitten in Bologna. Zentral, dennoch sehr ruhig. Eigene Terrasse ist großartig! Ich habe das Appartement sofort gemocht. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Herzlichen Dank dafür! Es war ein wunderschönes Aufenthalt in Bologna! Ich werde es sehr vermissen.

  Het is een ideale locatie om Bologna te verkennen. Je loopt overal zo naar toe, maar omdat je net een straatje naar achter zit is het wel rustig. Hele fijne communicatie met de eigenaar.

  What could be improved: Il sistema di apertura delle porte con lo smartphone attraverso un link Internet. Per fortuna ha sempre funzionato. Se avessi saputo che era così non avrei scelto la struttura.

  L’appartamento è molto bello, sebbene diviso su tre piani. Cucina attrezzata, spaziosa. Camera da letto comoda. Terrazza spettacolare.
  
  What could be improved: Niente di grave, solo un po’ tanto rumore durante la notte a causa di un locale vicino che mette musica alta fino alle 2 di notte.
  Se posso, consiglierei anche di far trovare delle chiavi. Il check-in tramite app è comodo ma può diventare problematico se non hai rete o ti si scarica il telefono.

  Wszystko było w porządku, zgodnie z ofertą. Szukałem miejsca z tarasem i go znalazłem. Chociaż jest dzielony na kilka apartamentów to każdy ma prywatną przestrzeń. W mieszkaniu jest wszystko co jest potrzebne do krótkiego jak i dłuższego pobytu. Można nawet gotować i zrobić pranie. Zmywarka też jest. Jednym z większych atutów jest lokalizacja. W mieszkaniu jest cicho. Nie słychać ulicy. W budynku gdzieś na dole jest restauracja ale to też nie przeszkadza.
  Raczej nie dla osób niepełnosprawnych lub mających problemy ze schodami.

  Very quiet, elegant, very very clean! Excellent position near the train station but already in the historical downtown. Several restaurants just by the door.
  
  What could be improved: It is a pity that not even some crackers, jam, milk were available for a basic breakfa st. This would have made the day starting slower. Moreover, there are some flights of stairs to do (no elevator) and for an elder with luggages, it could be straining. One must have a smart phone, otherwise the automatic check in does not work.

  What could be improved: The layout is a bit strange and it’s a little bare. Sitting room feels like a television and sofa in a corridor. Kitchen , where the dining table is, feels a bit bleak.
