Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Central City Rooms m09 on Via Jacopo Barozzi, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Bologna, you know, that classic Italian residential style that blends right into the neighborhood. But once you’re inside, it’s actually a really solid apartment setup that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile hotel room.

The location is what really sold me on this place. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore – I mean, you can practically hear the evening chatter from the piazzas when you have the windows open. Via Jacopo Barozzi is one of those quiet side streets that locals use to cut through the centro storico, so you get that authentic Bologna feel without the constant tourist foot traffic. There’s this little osteria around the corner (I think it’s called Al Pappagallo) that serves the kind of tortellini that’ll ruin every other pasta for you. The apartment itself is clean and well-maintained – honestly better than some 4-star places I’ve stayed at in other cities. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab some mortadella and parmigiano from the Mercato delle Erbe and make yourself a proper Bologna lunch.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Bologna can be pretty lively, especially during university season, but this particular stretch of Via Barozzi settles down nicely after dinner. You’ll hear the occasional Vespa puttering by, but it’s not like staying near Via del Pratello where the nightlife can keep you up. The Wi-Fi is solid (I worked from there for a few days), and the shower pressure is actually decent – which, if you’ve traveled around Italy much, you know isn’t always a given. Parking can be a bit tricky since it’s in the ZTL zone, but there’s a garage about three blocks away, and honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re settled in. The whole historic center is walkable, and if you need to get to the train station, it’s maybe a 15-minute stroll through some really beautiful streets. Check-in was smooth – they actually met me at the apartment, which was nice since these old buildings don’t always have the clearest numbering systems. The 8.9 rating makes sense to me; it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re in Bologna to actually experience the city rather than just pass through.

  Nice apartement. Well equipped. Comfortable beds. Air conditioning. Good Wifi. Place is near to city center.
  
  What could be improved: Microwave owen would be nice. There is lot of homeless people around. We found small insects in the kitchen. Local tax was very high. We pay 35€ for 1 night and 5 persons.

  Was very easy to get in touch with our contact via Whatsapp. Parking for EUR 20 per day at the complex was very convenient. You can also pay the city tax (not included in price) with credit card.
  
  What could be improved: At night the sorroundings could be a little sketchy as there are some homeless people in the street, but once you pass that first impression you’ll find out that the apt is very well located. 3 blocks from the train station, 20 min by train from the airport, and 5-6 blocks from the center

  Modern, comfortable and clean. It anticipated every need!
  It was a little further away from the old city than we had planned, but the property manager was very pleasant and accommodating after our booked property cancelled. Even so, the walk to the city was easy and we went back and forth a couple of times.

  The host is very polite and responsive! It was nice to be met by a real person. He gave us recommendations for restaurants and let us use the parking spot for extra time on the day we left. The appartment is spacious. It is well located- 15 minutes by foot to the center. It was just outside the ztl and therefore very comfortable if you arrive by car. It was also very easy to reach from the highway and close to the airport (one of us flew from Bologna).

  Apartament was really clean and comfortable. Air conditioning in every room. Very close to the city centre – walking distance. Easy check-in. Door-to-door parking space. Well equipped in hair dryer, Washing mashine, dishwasher, electric kettle. Of course a fridge. Nice coffee.

  We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The space was very clean and modern, providing a comfortable and pleasant environment. Its location is ideal, being just a 10-minute walk from the center, making it convenient to explore the town. The owners were extremely easy to contact and very nice, enhancing our overall experience. They even allowed us to leave our car in the parking spot until we were ready to depart, which was a huge help. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
