You’re literally steps from Piazza Maggiore, but tucked away on this narrow medieval street that most tourists just rush past without noticing. The building itself has that weathered stone look that screams “I’ve been here since way before your great-grandmother was born,” but inside? Well, that’s where they’ve done something pretty special.

The apartment feels like someone’s stylish Italian friend decided to rent out their place – you know, the kind of friend who has impeccable taste and actually knows how to make a space feel lived-in but luxurious. The kitchen is properly equipped (not those sad hotel kitchenettes), and there’s something deeply satisfying about picking up fresh tortellini from Mercato delle Erbe just around the corner and actually being able to cook it properly. The bathroom has this rainfall shower that I may have spent an embarrassing amount of time in, and the bed… look, I’m picky about mattresses, but this one gets it right. You can hear the gentle hum of Bologna life through the windows – the morning coffee ritual at the bar downstairs, students cycling to university, the evening aperitivo crowd – but it’s never overwhelming. Though I’ll be honest, if you’re super sensitive to sound, maybe pack some earplugs for Friday nights when the locals are out celebrating.

What really struck me was how the place manages to feel authentic without trying too hard. The host clearly knows their stuff – left recommendations for this tiny osteria on Via del Pratello that doesn’t even have a sign, and pointed me toward the best gelato spot (not the touristy one everyone goes to, but the one where actual Bolognesi queue up after dinner). The 9.1 rating makes complete sense when you’re staying somewhere that feels like a real slice of Bologna life rather than some sanitized hotel experience. Plus, you’re walking distance to pretty much everything that matters – the university quarter, those famous porticoes, the morning market, even the train station if you’re doing day trips. I mean, you could easily spend your entire stay just wandering the neighborhood and stumbling into incredible little discoveries. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re living in Bologna for a few days, not just visiting it.

  Perfect location in central Bologna. We were met on arrival by Martina who was a fantastic help with delivering the keys and giving us a tour of the apartment.
  The apartment had everything we required, was a minute's walk from Piazza Maggiore, and very good bars and restaurants in the area. Also, the apartment is very quiet, even in the evening and we had no trouble sleeping on the comfortable king size bed. We would use this property again.
  
  What could be improved: We couldn't fault the property. It is on the 1st floor, up 2 flights of stairs from ground level, however there is an operational lift.

  Es war geheizt als wir angekommen sind Die Lage ist genial, 2 Minuten vom Hauptplatz.
  Die 2 Töpfe waren beide nicht zu gebrauchen (einen hat der Induktionsherd nicht erkannt, der andere war beschichtet und total zerkratzt), das wurde aber schnell ausgetauscht, auch der Wasserkocher, der innen ganz schwarz war (angebrannte Milch?)
  Angaben zu Parkplatz waren sehr hilfreich. Tanari ist genial, wir haben 20 Euro gezahlt.
  Kaffeekapseln waren genügend da, danke!
  Heizung war top.
  
  What could be improved: Die Küche könnte besser ausgestattet sein. Die Regendusche hängt so schief von oben herab, dass man glaubt, sie bricht gleich ab (war aber gsd nicht der Fall)
  Im Zickzack-Gang zur Wohnung sind auf dem wunderschönen Marmorboden in jeder Ecke riesige Staub Lurche, das müsste nicht sein…
  Das Lichtband im Wohnzimmer flackert, und insgesamt gibt es ein Elektrizitätsproblem, da die Sicherung rausfliegt, wenn man die Herdplatte auf boost schaltet (14h30, also keine Stoßzeit), und keine andere Stromquelle verwendet).
  Das wäre leichter handelbar, wenn man dazu nicht immer in den Keller müsste…

  Very centrally located apartment. Wonderful view from a small balcony. Clean. Marella in Bologna was lovely and helpful in settling us into the apartment. Wide stairs and an elevator. Nespresso machine.

  The property is located in the center of the city near all attractions. A lot of restaurants nearby. Very clean and well equipped kitchen. Bed was comfortable and was great to sleep even outside was plenty of tourists. Caterina was very nice and friendly she gave all the information we needed.

  The apartment’s location is what you are looking for when it comes to central Bologna, just a step from everything there. A very nice modern interior & facilities.

  It had a lift and was central to everything. The apartment was ok , you got what you paid for – the apartment needs to be updated with new furnishings, and needs a professional cleaning service
  
  What could be improved: No microwave- needs new cups, plates and eating utensils, cracked old and stained- bathroom needs a good clean- pull out bed sofa bed needs replacing- current one old and very hard to sleep on , had to ask for extra sheets for the sofa bed.
