Casa rossoblu – zona stadio Overview
You know what struck me first about Casa rossoblu? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – it’s this charming red and blue themed place that feels way more personal than most hotels in Bologna. I mean, the location on Via Porrettana might sound random if you don’t know the city, but it’s honestly perfect. You’re in Saragozza, which locals will tell you is one of those neighborhoods that feels authentically Bolognese without being touristy, and you can walk to the stadium (hence “zona stadio”) in maybe ten minutes.
The building itself has that solid, unpretentious Italian feel – you know, the kind where the lobby isn’t trying to impress you with marble and chandeliers, but everything just works really well. The rooms are thoughtfully put together, and I appreciated little touches like actual good lighting for reading and outlets where you actually need them. The breakfast setup was surprisingly good too – not just the standard hotel continental thing, but proper local pastries and coffee that didn’t taste like it came from a machine. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night. Via Porrettana can get busy during the day, but the rooms are well-insulated, and honestly, after walking around Bologna all day, you’ll sleep like a baby anyway.
Here’s the thing about staying in Saragozza – you’re close enough to walk into the historic center (maybe 20 minutes to Piazza Maggiore), but you’re also in a real neighborhood where people actually live. There’s a fantastic little osteria about three blocks away that I never would have found if I’d stayed in the touristy center, and the morning market on Via del Pratello is just a pleasant stroll. The hotel staff seemed to really know their stuff about the area too – not just the obvious recommendations, but genuinely helpful insights about timing your visits and which routes to take. I remember the guy at the front desk telling me exactly when to hit the Basilica di San Luca to avoid the crowds, and he was spot on. The whole experience felt like staying with people who actually care about Bologna, not just running a business there. For a 4-star place, it punches above its weight – that 9.2 rating isn’t just numbers, it’s because they’ve figured out how to make everything feel effortless without being fancy about it.

Toller Aufenthalt – Ilenia from Switzerland – 8 July 2025 (10/10)

Krásné ubytování blízko centra, výborná komunikace s hostitelem, čisté, dobře vybavené, odpovídá popisu i obrázkům. Při pohledu na dům z vnějšku jsem trochu znejistěl, ale ubytování je opravdu skvělé.
What could be improved: Nemám co vytknoutGood – Simona from Australia – 2 April 2025 (7/10)
Two of the downstairs rooms have mould showing through the walls.
Downstairs shower had the drain blocked and the lady who met us to welcome us to the apartment had to come back to pour some solution down the drain to unblock it, which it did.
Small thing. The fridge door needs to open in the opposite direction.
Location was fantastic. You only had to cross the road and catch the number 20 bus into the centre of town.
Eateries were close by also if you didnt want to go out.Perfect – Anelia from Bulgaria – 9 February 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Two of the bedrooms are in the basement without sunlightPassable – Janet from United Kingdom – 7 February 2025 (5/10)
The accommodation itself was an appropriate size for our group; it was very clean and well-equipped. The ground-floor bedroom and adjoining bathroom were both accessible and very comfortable. The car parking place was near-at-hand and the bus service to the centre of Bologna convenient and easy-to -use. The staff at the office were friendly and helpful.
There were some relatively minor features of the accommodation which would have made our stay more comfortable and relaxing. The only comfortable seating was the sofa, really only large enough for two adults to sit on at a time. The banister rail to the upper floor was not fixed securely at the top of the stair and was very wobbly. The 'fridge door was fixed the wrong way round, such that it was necessary to move the rubbish bin in order to access the contents of the 'fridge. The net curtains on the windows did not block the outside lights at night; it would have been more pleasant had there been proper curtains to draw over the windows in both the sitting room and the bedrooms. These are relatively minor points and could be easily remedied.
What could be improved: The major problem during our stay was that the internet and electricity supply failed on a number of occasions throughout the week. We were without any hot water for a complete day. The installation of a new boiler, a process which was itself very noisy and disruptive, did not completely resolve our difficulties. The internet connection continued to be unreliable. The electricity supply to the lower-ground floor rooms failed several times, when the switch governing supply to the ground-floor rooms tripped. This was linked also to the failure of the internet connection. It took us a bit of time to identify the source of the problems.
Maintaining a reliable internet connection was very important to some members of the group who were reliant on it for work-related reasons.
I trust I have explained adequately the 'passable' score awarded.Exceptional – Bora from Turkey – 18 January 2025 (10/10)
