What really got me was how they’ve managed to capture that whole “staying in someone’s stylish Bologna apartment” vibe while actually giving you proper hotel service. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings – typical for this part of the city – and the floors are this warm parquet that creaks just enough to remind you you’re in a real Italian building, not some generic chain. The bathrooms are actually spacious, which… if you’ve stayed in historic Italian hotels, you know that’s not always a given. They’ve got this nice mix of modern fixtures with period details that doesn’t feel forced. And the beds? Honestly, some of the best sleep I’ve had in the city center. The linens feel expensive without being precious about it.

The location is what really seals the deal though. You’re right in the heart of everything but on a side street that stays relatively quiet – well, as quiet as central Bologna gets. Via del Pignattari is right around the corner if you want to grab aperitivo, and you can walk to Osteria del Sole in about three minutes (though good luck getting a table without planning ahead). The morning routine is pretty perfect too – step out for coffee at one of the bars on Via Rizzoli, then wander over to the market stalls that set up in the piazza. Parking is obviously a nightmare in this area, but honestly, once you’re here you don’t need a car anyway. The staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood, not just the tourist spots – they pointed me toward this little enoteca I never would have found otherwise. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re experiencing Bologna properly, not just checking it off a list. The 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there.

  Quality! Of every detail – from the doors, windows till hygiene things and provided water. I have never seen such attention to details (Even informative booklet was printed on the high quality paper). It felt inside the room like 4 star hotel rather than guesthouse.
