It’s tucked away on Via de’ Chiari – honestly, one of those narrow streets that feels like a secret even though it’s right in the thick of everything. You know how some places claim to be “in the historical center” but you still need to trek fifteen minutes to see anything worthwhile? Not here. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, and the morning light hitting those medieval facades on your way to grab cornetti is… well, it’s exactly why you came to Bologna in the first place.

The private terrace is what really sets this apart, though. Most Bologna accommodations either stick you in some cramped interior courtyard or give you a window overlooking another building six feet away. This terrace actually feels like breathing room – you can sit out there in the evening with a bottle of Lambrusco (there’s an enoteca just around the corner on Via Pescherie Vecchie that locals actually go to) and watch the light fade over the terracotta rooftops. The space itself has that lived-in elegance you want from a four-star place without feeling stuffy. Original details mixed with modern touches, though honestly the bathroom could use slightly better lighting – minor thing, but you notice it when you’re getting ready to go out.

What I really appreciate is how quiet it stays despite being so central. Bologna’s pedestrian zones mean you’re not dealing with traffic noise, just the pleasant sounds of people heading to dinner or students chatting as they walk back from the university area. Speaking of which – if you’re here during the academic year, the energy in this neighborhood is incredible. Summer’s lovely too, but there’s something about Bologna when the students are around that makes the whole city feel more alive. The 8.9 rating feels about right, maybe even conservative. Check-in was smooth, the host actually knows the neighborhood (asked about restaurant preferences and gave real recommendations, not just tourist traps), and honestly? You’ll probably find yourself spending more time on that terrace than you planned, just watching Bologna do its thing below.

  The location is great and the apartment is comfortable. It is quiet while in the very center of Bologna. There are many good restaurants nearby. The balcony is beautiful. The host was welcoming and the process of checking in and checking out was easy and convenient.
  
  What could be improved: It was rather cold inside in October when the temperature dropped to about 15 degrees Celsius and it started to rain, and the heating, which was probably meant for winter, did not work. I have not managed to use air conditioner for heating. Maybe something can be done about the cold temperature inside but I did not ask because it did not bother me much. The balcony door is easy to break but I always managed to fix it afterwards somehow.

  The apartment lived up to our expectations. The sofabed was fine, the small balcony was very nice. There are several cafes close by, where you can get your espresso and cornetto.

  Τα πάντα ήταν υπέροχα!!! Η τοποθεσία, το διαμέρισμα, οι παροχές, η καθαριότητα, το WiFi, ο εξοπλισμός αλλα το κυριότερο απ όλα οι οικοδεσπότες και περισσότερο ο Francesco!!! Μας βοήθησε σε ότι χρειαστήκαμε, χαμογελαστός και εξυπηρετικός!!!!

  Everything was perfect! Special thanks to Alex, who gave us some great tips on where to go, eat & drink. The kitchen has everything one could need, the wifi was very good and the location is perfect, everything in the city is a max. 10 min walk. The flat felt like home, we were both sad to leave!
