Bologna Zanolini Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Bologna Zanolini Apartment on Via Oreste Regnoli, you immediately get that feeling you’re staying somewhere locals actually live. This four-star property sits in a residential neighborhood that feels authentically Bolognese — no tourist traps in sight, just real Italian life happening around you. The building itself has that understated elegance you find throughout Bologna, where centuries-old architecture meets modern comfort without trying too hard to impress.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the crowds to actually breathe. The area around Via Oreste Regnoli gives you a genuine taste of how Bolognesi live, with local cafés where the barista remembers your order and small shops that close for proper lunch breaks. You can walk to the historic center in about fifteen minutes, but honestly, sometimes you’ll find yourself just wandering the quieter streets nearby because they’re equally charming. Couples seem to get this — they consistently rate the location around 9.0, and I can see why.
The Space Itself
The apartment setup here is what sets this place apart from typical hotel rooms. You get actual living space — not just a bed crammed next to a tiny desk. The layout feels thoughtful, like someone who actually travels designed it rather than just maximizing square footage. There’s enough room to spread out your stuff (you know how that matters after living out of a suitcase), and the furnishings strike that sweet spot between stylish and comfortable. The kitchen area is particularly well-equipped if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the local market and cook something simple.
Getting Around and Practical Matters
Bologna’s public transport connects well from this area, though honestly, walking is often your best bet in this city. The train station isn’t too far if you’re planning day trips to Florence or Venice — something I’d definitely recommend while you’re in the region. Parking can be tricky in Bologna generally, but the neighborhood here is more manageable than the city center if you’re driving. The staff seems to know the area well and can point you toward the best local spots that aren’t in every guidebook.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about Bologna Zanolini Apartment is how it lets you experience Bologna like you’re temporarily living here rather than just passing through. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly — around 8.8 — and after spending time in the area, that makes perfect sense. You’re getting authentic neighborhood life with easy access to Bologna’s incredible food scene and historic attractions. The restaurant recommendations from locals in the area tend to be spot-on, leading you to places where the pasta is handmade and the wine list focuses on regional bottles you can’t find elsewhere. It’s that balance of comfort, location, and genuine local flavor that makes this place work so well for travelers who want more than just a place to sleep.

Reviews of Bologna Zanolini Apartment
Exceptional – Karafilovski from North Macedonia – 27 January 2025 (10/10)
The apartment was clean and nice, looks just like the pictures. Check in was easy, we got the info how to check in via Whats app. The location is nice around 1.5km from the city centre, so its walkable. Around 15-20mins from the airport. All in all a great experience, will come again!
A lovely and comfy place to stay in Bologna – Tanya_hristova from Bulgaria – 5 October 2024 (10/10)
We loved the place -it was as described, comfy beds (even the sofa bed was quite comfortable),the apartment was perfect for 4 people! I appreciate there was an iron that we could use! The place is located in a university district close to Portico di San Donato, well connected to public transport. We would gladly stay there again when in Bologna! Check in was easy. I highly recommend!
What could be improved: There was nothing we didn't like.Nice and cozy – Luciana from Romania – 27 June 2024 (8/10)
– nice location, just 20 min walk to the center
– big apartment and large rooms
– stores and restaurants just few minutes away
– well equipped kitchen
– 15 mins away from the airport by car
What could be improved: – there is no TV in the apartment
– you can hear every noise made on the staircase
– early check out (10 am)
– not self-check in available (you have to meet somebody and if you have a late check in (> 09.30 pm) you have to pay an extra charge
– not too clean, dirty floor, garbage under the sofa (bags from other clients), dirty dish sponge in the kitchen
– there is a dishwasher machine, but no tablets for itGood – Brigitte from Switzerland – 22 April 2024 (7/10)
Close to the city but quiet. Apartment is well equipped.
What could be improved: The apartment was very cold (I was there in April).Superb – Luca from Romania – 1 March 2024 (9/10)
Perfect for long stays. Really high walls and comfy beds. Nice bathroom.
What could be improved: The eco in the room.Very good – Joanne from Canada – 21 October 2023 (8/10)
Apt well equipped, safe, quiet, good location, 15-20 min walk from centre, university, tourist area. Buses 20 and 36, 37 were reliable to get from/to train station.
What could be improved: Everything was fine.Would recommend this place to anybody who wants to be near the city centre! – Izabela from Poland – 12 October 2023 (9/10)
The location is great! There are two comfortable bedrooms, and well-equipped kitchen.
What could be improved: The bathroom was clean but a bit disappointing. The flat is on the ground floor, which is convenient, but the trees outside keep it quite dark during the day. We spent all the days outside, so it wasn’t that bad, but can be a bit depressing if the weather is not that great.Superb – Rinita from Germany – 1 September 2023 (9/10)
The interior of the house was minimalistic and perfect.
What could be improved: The air conditioner in the living room didn't work so well maybe because the room was very big and the air conditioner didn't cool the entire room.Overall a very nice accommodation, would recommend. – Veronika from Czech Republic – 17 August 2023 (7/10)
Friendly host, the apartment was clean and well equipped, air-conditioning in every room was appreciated.
What could be improved: There wasn’t that much light in the apartment, it felt a bit dark.Good – Maria from Denmark – 27 October 2022 (7/10)
a spacious apartment, very clean
What could be improved: the apartment was very cold even though the weather outside was good, we had to put on a couple of layers to stay warm inside.
the sofa bed was not very comfortable
