So I’ll be honest – when I first heard “train station apartment,” I was expecting some sketchy crash pad with paper-thin walls and the constant rumble of departing trains. But this place on Viale Angelo Masini actually surprised me in the best way possible. The self check-in thing works seamlessly (you get codes sent to your phone), and while you can definitely hear the trains if you’re really listening, it’s more of a gentle urban lullaby than anything disruptive. The apartment itself feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile – I mean that in a good way. There’s real attention to detail here, from the quality of the linens to the way the kitchen is actually stocked with things you’d use, not just random mismatched plates.

What really sold me on this place was how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Bologna Centrale, which sounds obvious given the name, but you know what’s not obvious? How close you are to some incredible local spots that most tourists never find. There’s this little osteria called Da Cesari just fifteen minutes on foot where locals actually eat – not the tourist traps near Piazza Maggiore. And honestly, being on Viale Masini means you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to the historic center (about twenty minutes if you don’t mind the stroll) but you’re also perfectly positioned for day trips. I caught trains to Florence and Venice without any of that frantic rushing-across-town nonsense you get with most Bologna accommodations.

The apartment itself has this comfortable, slightly eclectic vibe – sort of like staying at a friend’s place whose taste you actually respect. The wifi is solid (I was working remotely part of the time), there’s proper air conditioning which you’ll definitely want in summer, and the shower has actual water pressure. Small things, but they matter when you’re tired from wandering around Bologna’s porticoed streets all day. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the building entrance can be a bit tricky to find at night – it’s not super well-lit – but once you’ve done it once, you’re golden. Oh, and if you’re planning to cook, the kitchen is genuinely functional, not just decorative. I picked up ingredients from the Mercato delle Erbe and made pasta one evening, which felt ridiculously authentic sitting there with the windows open, listening to the evening sounds of the neighborhood settling in.

  This was the best equipped apartment in my whole 2 week stay in Italy . I was able to wash and dry clothes using washing machine. An actual oven so I could cook a pizza. Most self caetering places I stayed at only has 2 induction hobs. Just across the road from main bus station and an easy flat straight 10min walk from the train station.
  
  What could be improved: I had difficulty paying the tourist tax on line. Computer said no. I had 5 pending payments on my credit card but not wer taken. Luckliy their office was next to the aprtment so I could pay tax in person. Email sent to my junk mial to et me know when the room was ready so it worth remembering tocheck yoir junk mail

  The property was clean and well equipped with all the facilities needed for someone travelling. Coffee, tea, Towels, face washers, toiletries, iron, ironing board and extra pillows. The property also had great cooling / heating. Staff were extremely responsive with a great level of communication throughout our stay.
  
  What could be improved: I was disappointed that the property advertised parking included yet we found out only after booking that we had to pay an additional €15 per day for parking. In saying this it was still beneficial to have a designated parking spot close to the accommodation.

  The apartment is very spacious, clean and comfortable. It is close to the center and train station. We loved our one night stay here and we were sad we were staying only for one night.

  Spacious, clean comfortable. Bathroom is big, towels are enough. Secure apartment door.
  
  What could be improved: Have to collect entrance keys from another building. Door code not given until city tax is paid in person. Lift not on ground floor. Cups, glasses only good for number of registered persons. Location not distant for me from train station with mobility issues which is my priority.
