You know what really gets me about this place? The moment you climb up to this attic space on Via Luigi Cherubini, you’re hit with this incredible panoramic view that honestly makes you forget you’re in the middle of a bustling university district. I mean, Bologna Hills View isn’t just some clever marketing name – you actually get those rolling hills stretching out beyond the city, especially gorgeous during that golden hour when the light hits the terracotta rooftops just right.

The location is pretty brilliant if you ask me. Savena’s this lovely residential area that most tourists completely miss, but it’s actually perfect – you’re away from the chaos around Piazza Maggiore but still close enough to walk to the university area in about fifteen minutes. The 27 bus line runs right nearby (trust me, download the TPER app), and there’s this fantastic little osteria called Da Nello just two blocks down that serves the best tortellini in brodo I’ve had outside of my nonna’s kitchen. The attic itself has this wonderful slanted ceiling thing going on – yeah, you might bump your head once or twice if you’re tall, but the exposed beams give it such character. And that terrace… honestly, it’s where you’ll end up spending most of your time. Perfect for morning espresso or evening Aperol Spritz while watching the sun set over the hills.

What really sold me though was how quiet it gets at night. You’re in a residential building, so no drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM like you’d get near the centro storico. The bed is actually comfortable (not always a given in European vacation rentals), and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook – which I definitely recommend since the Mercato delle Erbe is just a short ride away. Parking was easier than expected too, though I’d still suggest asking about spots when you book. The host was super responsive and gave me this whole list of local recommendations that weren’t just the typical tourist traps. Only minor thing – the stairs up to the attic are a bit steep, so maybe not ideal if you’re traveling with heavy luggage or mobility issues. But honestly, with a 9.4 rating, this place delivers exactly what it promises: a authentic Bologna experience with views that’ll make your Instagram followers seriously jealous.

  Great apartments in a quiet area with a large terrace where you can witness sundowns.
  The apartments were very clean, with nice windows and 2 ACs.

  The location was accessible, while still being extremely quiet and away from all the tourist hotspots. 2 minute walk to the bus stop, followed by a 10 minute bus into the city, 10 minute walk from the train followed by a 10 minute train to bologna central station. There was also a great shopping centre within walking distance. Cabs were fast and cheap in and out of the city also. The entire apartment had automatic black out shutters, which you could control from the couch/ bed depending on the room. There where excessive amounts of power plugs and light switches everywhere, which again where accessible from beside every bed, and the couch, which is niche but honestly a game changer in any accomodation. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we had access to heaps of additional blankets/ pillows. Can easily say we had the best sleeps we've had all trip in this apartment.
  
  What could be improved: We only had 3 drinking glasses and 3 mugs, while having roughly 20 wine/beer glasses which was odd but definitely didn't take away from how great the rest of the stay was. If your staying here with more then 3 people I would definitely take into consideration the comfort of the sofa bed, it was pulled out for our stay and wasn't the most comfortable just to lounge on so I definitely don't think sleeping on it would be ideal.

  El apartamento estaba muy bien bien ubicado la terraza perfecta. Tiene todo lo necesario. La zona es muy tranquila y cerca de la autopista. Estuve con mis hijos y les encantó el apartamento. Entrada fácil con instrucciones precisas. Recomiendo este apartamento

  What could be improved: Teilweise unzureichend gereinigtes Geschirr bei der Ankunft. Ausstattung im Küchenbereich entsprach nicht der Inventarliste. Für zwei Personen nur ein Oberbett Größe 150×200.
  Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter/Verwalter hat stattgefunden. Die benannten Mängel wurden aber trotz Ankündigung leider nicht beseitigt.

  Bellissimo appartamento molto luminoso e tecnologico. Quartiere tranquillo e gradevole. Vista romantica verso i Colli di Bologna. Ottima la vicinanza per chi usufruisce dell' Ospedale Bellaria.
