It’s tucked away on this residential street that feels completely removed from the tourist chaos, but you’re actually closer to the good stuff than most hotels downtown. I mean, Via Giuseppe Bentivogli isn’t exactly a name that rolls off the tongue, but once you find it – and honestly, it took me two tries with Google Maps – you’ll realize you’ve stumbled onto something pretty special.

The apartment itself has that lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake. It’s not trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect, which I actually appreciated after staying in those sterile chain places. The ceilings are high enough to make you feel like you’re in a real Italian home, and there’s this great morning light that streams through the windows around 8 AM. Fair warning though – the street can get a bit lively on weekend evenings since locals use it as a shortcut to the bars near Via del Pratello, but it’s the kind of neighborhood buzz that makes you feel like you’re living in Bologna rather than just visiting. The soundproofing is decent anyway, so unless you’re a super light sleeper, you’ll be fine.

What really sold me was the location’s practicality – something you don’t realize until you’re hauling groceries or trying to catch an early train. There’s a fantastic alimentari just around the corner on Via Saragozza that stocks everything from proper Parmigiano to decent wine, and the 20 bus line (which runs every 10 minutes during the day) gets you to Piazza Maggiore in maybe 15 minutes. More importantly, you’re a genuine 12-minute walk to Osteria del Sole, and if you haven’t eaten there yet, well, that alone justifies the stay. The neighborhood also puts you close enough to the university area that you get those great student-friendly restaurants without the late-night party noise. I loved wandering down toward Porta San Mamolo in the evenings – it’s got this perfect golden hour light that makes even the most ordinary doorways look like Renaissance paintings. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward lobby hovering you get at bigger hotels. The hosts actually know the area and gave me restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. With a 9.3 rating, I was expecting something good, but this place delivers that rare combination of authentic Bologna living with enough comfort that you’re not roughing it. It’s perfect for travelers who want to experience the city like a temporary local rather than just tick off the major sights.

  Apartament położony w bezpiecznej okolicy. Dobrze wyposażony we wszystko co potrzebne do wygodnego spędzenia wypoczynku. Blisko przystanek autobusowy,choć autobus jeździ nie zawsze zgodnie z rozkładem jazdy! Czysto i przyjemnie w apartamencie.Klimatyzacja sprawna. Wszystko super.
  
  What could be improved: Blisko znajduje się bar w którym do późnych godzin wieczornych jest bardzo głośno. Dla mnie to wada dla innych może być to zaletą. Poza tym wszystko ok.

  This is an IMPECCABLE apartment about a 20 minute walk from the historic district. It has EVERYTHING you need for a comfortable stay, good wifi, hot shower, comfortable, yet firm, queen bed, comfy sofa, and a well equipped kitchen with oil, salt/pepper/sugar, coffee and tea and all the things you need to cook and eat at home. There is a Lidl supermarket 2 blocks away, and a Cafe across the street. Great communication from the host!!!
  
  What could be improved: This apartment is run like a business with early check in or late check out costing €10/hour, even if the apartment is available. Check in time is late, 4pm and check out time is 10am, so the need to pay extra or store bags is likely if you are arriving from another city. You need cell service to open the gate/door every time (but apparently you can request a code if is this isn't possible). No umbrellas available for our very rainy stay (host stopped replacing them after multiple umbrella thefts, which I totally understand, but we stayed in one very rainy night due to lack of umbrella). These are things that impacted my personal stay which is why I didn't give this property a 10, but I would stay here again, and the actual apartment aside from the logistics is well thought out. Only other negative is the bedroom shares a wall with the front door to the building so people start coming and going early during the work week and you can hear the slam every time.

  Clean, modern apartment that had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Felt very safe and the it was close to a good grocery store. Bed was also extremely comfortable!

  We had a lovely stay at Federico's apartment; he was very helpful and a great host. The location is in a quiet area, close to a Lidl supermarket and about a 25-minute walk to the main train station.
  Although we didn’t need it as much, the kitchen was very well equipped, including a coffe machine, which was a nice touch.

  Nice to have a small, but well equipped apartment in a quiet and nice neighbourhood when visiting Bologna. The price to pay is a little walk to reach the city center or the station, but we didn't mind. We enjoyed our stay overall.

  The apartment is renewed, in the old building and in the quiet neigbourhood and quiet street.. Well equipped and with coffee machine also. For the car parking you can use street blue line places, in the streets around. It is for free during the night, during the day you need to pay. Not far away from city center.
