You know what’s funny about Bologna? Everyone talks about the food and the university, but they sleep on the fact that this city has these incredible medieval towers just sitting there in the middle of everything. The Asinelli Suite gets this – I mean, it’s literally named after the taller of the two famous towers, and honestly, the view from this place will make you understand why Bologna was once called the “Manhattan of the Middle Ages.”

The location is pretty much perfect if you actually want to experience Bologna rather than just pass through it. You’re on Galleria Acquaderni, which sounds fancy but it’s actually this quiet little street that connects you to everything without dumping you right into the tourist chaos. The Due Torri – those iconic leaning towers – are basically your neighbors, and I’m not exaggerating when I say you can watch the morning light hit them from your window while you’re having coffee. The whole setup feels like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully appointed apartment rather than a hotel room, which makes sense because that’s essentially what it is. The space has this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake – good linens, actual art on the walls, a kitchen that looks like people cook in it regularly.

What really sold me on this place was how it handles the balance between being central and being livable. You’re a three-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the street noise from Via Rizzoli or the late-night crowds spilling out of the bars near the university. The area gets busy during the day – lots of locals cutting through on their way to work, tourists doing the tower climb – but it settles down nicely in the evenings. Bologna’s not a huge city, so you can walk pretty much anywhere you need to go, but there’s also good bus connections right nearby if you’re planning day trips or your feet give out after too much wandering on those medieval stones. Parking can be tricky (it’s a historic center, what do you expect?), but the host actually gives you solid advice about where to leave your car if you’re driving in. The whole experience feels like staying with a friend who really knows the city – someone who’ll tell you which osteria is worth the wait and which gelato place the locals actually go to, not just the one with the longest tourist line.

  Super asukoht! Maailma parimad padjad ja soojad tekid. Tore väike siseõu ja lift raskete kohvrite tassimiseks. Nunnu väike rõdu vaatega kahele tornile. Kõik vajalik toidutegemiseks olemas.
  
  What could be improved: Duširuum on väga väike, pole pinda, kuhu oma asju panna. Võiks seintele mõned riiulid panna. Häda pärast saab 2 inimest hakkama, aga rohkematele küll ruumi ei jätku. Meie ei saanud ka duširuumi kütet tööle, kuigi vastuvõtja radiaatori küljes mingeid asju keeras. Nii et olime üsna jahedas ruumis, kus käterätid ära ei kuivanud.

  What could be improved: We had chosen the apartment to be able to sit in the balcony and have a view of the square. Sadly, due to long term works to restore one of the famous towers we were overlooking a construction site. Not the properties fault but useful to know.

  Der kl. Balkon ist toll.
  Bitte Weingläser anschaffen und im Bad eine Ablage schaffen.

  Wenn die obere Wohnung nicht bewohnt ist, lässt es sich besser schlafen (Geräuschpegel einer 5köpfigen Familie 😉

  Çok merkezi bir yerde, meydana bakan şirin minik bir balkonu var. Konforlu, gerçekten çok rahat ettim.
  
  What could be improved: Check-in için karşılayacak olan görevli çok strese soktu, tahmini check-in saati sorulmasını anlıyorum ve öncesinde 14:00-15:00 arası olarak belirtmiştim. Sadece 15:10’da check-in yaptım ama uçağım inip telefonum açıldığı andan itibaren görevlinin baskısına maruz kaldım.
  Ayrıca sorduğumda, odada kahve olmadığını söyleyip buzdolabının üzerindeki bitki çaylarını göstermişti. Tezgahın üzerinde duran kapsül kahve ve siyah çayları ertesi gün fark ettim.
  Check-in dışında hiç bir sorun yaşamadım. Gözardı edilebilir, tekrar gittiğimde yine kalmak isterim bu evde.

  Everything was fantastic. Greeted by Francesco earlier than checkin time thank you! He gave us the grand tour and stored our bags til apartment was ready. Apartment has everything you could possibly need for 2 nights. Perfect location. Balcony and lift + inner courtyard, restaurants & shopping & attractions all there. Lovely touches & decor throughout. Public Transport a breeze.

  Brilliant Location, Tastefully decorated , Nice layout, spacious and comfort. All amenities, dishwasher wasmachine fridge freezer, cutlery cups etc. etc.. Nice bed.

  Lack of info about entering the building via different gates especially in the evening as one gate closed. Towels available but did not know they are stored in the sofa.
