You know what? I walked past Apartament Bologna-Stadio 2 on Via dal Lino probably a dozen times before I actually stayed there, and honestly, I was kicking myself for not booking it sooner. The thing about this place is that it sits in this perfect sweet spot in Saragozza – close enough to the action that you can walk to the city center in about fifteen minutes, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds stumbling around at 2 AM.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Italian aunt decided to rent out her extra place. I mean that in the best way possible. Everything’s been thoughtfully updated without losing that authentic Bologna charm – you’ve got these gorgeous high ceilings and original architectural details, but the kitchen actually works (trust me, this isn’t always a given in Italian rentals). The bathroom has this rainfall shower that I honestly spent way too much time in after long days wandering around the city. What really got me though was the little touches – proper coffee cups, not those flimsy tourist ones, and the owner had left recommendations for the best mortadella shop nearby. Speaking of which, there’s this incredible alimentari literally two blocks away on Via Saragozza where the locals go, and you’ll walk right past it if you’re heading toward the centro storico.

The location is actually brilliant once you figure out the neighborhood rhythm. You’re basically in a real residential area where people live their actual lives, so mornings smell like coffee and fresh bread from the bakery down the street, not exhaust fumes and tourist chaos. The 20 bus stops right around the corner and takes you straight to the main train station if you need it, though honestly, I barely used public transport because everything’s so walkable. The only thing I’d mention – and this is minor – is that Italian apartment buildings can be a bit echoey, so you might hear your neighbors occasionally. But that’s part of the charm, right? Plus, the 9.4 rating makes total sense when you’re actually staying there. The check-in was smooth, the WiFi worked perfectly for my work calls, and there’s even decent parking nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in Bologna (I wasn’t). It’s the kind of place where you start planning your next trip back before you’ve even checked out.

  The apartment is in a very good condition and it has almost everything you need.
  
  What could be improved: The attitude of the host was not very nice. I was supposed to leave him the city tax, but he insisted that I should do it the moment I arrive, which was very strange. I went out to eat something and he called me and asked me to make the transfer immediately, even if I told him I am out having dinner. This was extremely rude and totally unprofessional.
