You know what struck me first about Residence Battisti 9? It’s tucked away on this quiet side street in Saragozza, but you’re actually just a few minutes’ walk from the heart of Bologna’s historic center. I mean, Via Cesare Battisti itself is one of those lovely residential streets where you’ll see locals heading to the market in the morning with their canvas bags, but turn the corner and you’re practically at Piazza Maggiore.

The building has that understated Italian elegance thing going on – not flashy, but you can tell someone put thought into the details. The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully appointed” rather than luxurious, which honestly works better for Bologna anyway. You get proper space to spread out (something that’s surprisingly rare in Italian city centers), and the kitchenettes are actually functional if you want to grab some mortadella and parmigiano from Tamburini and make yourself a proper sandwich. The Wi-Fi is solid, which matters if you’re working remotely, and the air conditioning actually works – trust me, you’ll appreciate that in July when Bologna gets properly steamy.

What really makes this place work is the location knowledge you get from staying here. The Saragozza neighborhood gives you this perfect balance where you’re living like a local but can still walk to all the tourist spots. There’s a fantastic little osteria called Al Sangiovese just around the corner that most visitors never find, and you’re close enough to Via del Pratello that you can easily join the evening aperitivo crowd without dealing with hotel shuttle schedules or hunting for taxis. The staff actually seems to know the neighborhood well too – they pointed me toward this tiny enoteca that had some incredible Sangiovese di Romagna that I never would have discovered otherwise. Parking can be a bit tricky (it’s Bologna, after all), but they’ll help you figure out the Zone Traffico Limitato situation, which honestly saves you from potential headaches with traffic cameras. The 8.2 rating feels about right – it’s not going to wow you with marble bathrooms or champagne service, but it gets the important stuff right and lets you experience Bologna more like a temporary resident than a tourist passing through.

  Everything was decent but it is summer time no air condition it was a little bit struggling adjusting the weather inside the room temperature, bedroom is little congested to moving space, but everything else is decent.

  Mieszkanie jest ogromne. Lokalizacji znakomita. Kiedy na ulicy był upał, w mieszkaniu było chłodno, co w 40stopniowe upały jest bardzo ważne. Kontakt z obiektem szybki i łatwy.

  Самый центр города, тихая улочка, до пьяцца Маджоре 3 минуты пешком, отличное расположение. апартаменты располагаются на 1 ом этаже старого дома, немного "пожившие," чисто, аккуратно. Апартаменты для 2их, т.к. вход в ванную комнату через спальню, на кухне минимальный набор посуды, но все необходимое из посуды есть. Кондиционера нет, мы были конец мая- нач. июня, темп. 30 гр., входишь в прохладную квартиру, Отличная коммуникация с хозяином.

  Central location, very convenient for us to visit everything around city center. We could also easily walk to train station. Host was super friendly and answer to our questions.
  
  What could be improved: During our stay was very very cold. A heater would do a much difference to our stay.
  We need to pass bedroom to go to bathroom which was quite annoying during night.
