I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Realkasa Bianca on Via Lanzarini, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The San Donato area isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, but that’s actually what made this place feel like a bit of a hidden gem. It’s tucked away in this quiet residential neighborhood about 15 minutes from Bologna’s historic center, and you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need after a day of dodging crowds around Piazza Maggiore.

The hotel itself has that clean, modern Italian aesthetic – nothing too flashy, but everything feels well thought out. My room was genuinely comfortable (and I mean that in the best way possible), with one of those bathrooms that’s small but somehow manages to fit everything you actually need. The staff at check-in were really helpful too, not in that overly scripted hotel way, but like they actually cared about making sure I knew where to find good coffee nearby. Speaking of which, there’s this little bar about two blocks down that the front desk guy recommended – definitely worth the walk if you’re an early riser like me.

What really won me over was how quiet it gets at night. I mean, you’re in a residential area, so you’re not dealing with the typical city hotel noise, but you’re also not stuck in the middle of nowhere. The 94 bus line runs pretty regularly from just down the street, and honestly, it’s kind of nice to see how actual Bolognese people live their daily lives. Plus, parking wasn’t the nightmare I expected – they’ve got their own lot, which anyone who’s driven in Italian cities will appreciate. The whole place has this unpretentious vibe that I found refreshing after staying in some of those overly polished hotels in city centers. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax without feeling like you need to be “on” all the time, if that makes sense. For a solid 4-star experience that won’t break the bank and gives you a real taste of Bologna beyond the tourist bubble, Realkasa Bianca definitely delivers.

  Location was good area was safe. Walkable to everything. Good local pizza nearby and was very close to the event I was attending
  
  What could be improved: Receptionist was slightly unprofessional given the profile of the accomodation. Referred to me as “man” in text messages and such. He was nice but just not professional at all really if that’s something you care about. Didn’t explain to me how the door lock works either. Incorrectly locked my door on the first day

  Чесно кажучи, вперше захотілось написати довгий відгук.:) Сама квартира дуже сподобалась – чиста і зручна, классне розташування, получ магазини і 20 хвилин пішки до історичного центру міста. Весь потрібний посуд в наявності. Є паркувальне місце. Майже ідеальне місце для відпочинку одному або удвох. Але є і нюанси… )
  
  What could be improved: Не сподобались 2 речі, але це досить відчутно 1. WiFi працює із швибкістю на завантаження 1,6 mbt, що не дає навіть можливості провести відеозустріч у zoom. В той же час мобільний інтернет на завантаження там працює на швидкості 166 mbt. 2. І це вразило найбільше. Прямо через стінку живе пара (чоловік і жінка), які, скоріш за все, співають у опері. І кожного дня, десь с 12 чи 13 години і до пізнього вечора вони тренуються грати на фортепіано і удвох співають оперу. КОЖНОГО ДНЯ! Не допомогають ані навушники, ані бірюши. Було б добре, якщо б за такі моменти попереджали заздалегідь…

  Ottima posizione, fermate di bus abbastanza vicine anche se spesso dal centro di Bologna riuscivamo a tornare a piedi in 20 minuti.
  L'appartamento era accogliente e pulito, ci siamo trovate bene. Vicino all'appartamento c'era un Lidl e una coop il che era molto comodo se volevamo cucinare qualcosa. Ho apprezzato la lavastoviglie.
  
  What could be improved: C'era la lavatrice ma non c'era il detersivo e sarebbe stato scomodo comprarne uno per poi riportarlo in dietro. Volevo solo avvisare che dalle 18 fino alle 20 al piano di sopra c'è una signora che canta lirico, non è colpa di nessuno ovviamente, se si accende il televisore non si sente più tanto. Ogni tanto si sente un'odore molto forte uscire dal bagno. Al momento del check-out volevamo dare una ripulita all'appartamento ma l'aspirapolvere era rotto.

  Nice appartment with "free concerts" (there seems to be an opera teacher in the house).
  It was clean, the bed was cosy and the kitchen well equipped. There was also a washing-dryer.
  It has free parking in front of the house but I was not shure if it was legal to park there.
  
  What could be improved: After booking you will get spammed on all channels with a lot of messages. You have to fill out an electronic self check-in process which is comparable for checking in for an international flight. You have to sign a 10 pages long rental contract which was only available in italiano (but this was not mentioned at booking). The apartment itself was nice but seemed very cold and not cosy at all. The couch was laughable and the shower was broke so I was not sure if we should use it. Although we electronicly checked in we had to wait for a staff to come and handle us the keys. She didn't knew the appartment (she didn't even know where the appartment was) was a little unfriendly and had no usefull information.
  It was also not easy to find the appartment because there seems to be the wrong adress written on booking (it's No 13!!!).
