The name’s a mouthful – they’ve basically crammed every major landmark into it – but you know what? They’re not wrong. You’re literally in the heart of everything here on via Alessandrini, which is this quiet side street that somehow puts you within walking distance of basically anywhere you’d want to go in Bologna.

The thing that struck me first wasn’t the room (though it’s lovely) – it was how the owner actually seemed to care about the place. Check-in felt more like visiting a friend’s well-appointed apartment than dealing with hotel staff, if that makes sense. The building itself has that Bologna charm where you can tell it’s been around forever but someone’s put real thought into making it work for modern travelers. I mean, the rooms are proper four-star quality, but there’s this authentic Italian warmth that you just don’t get at the chain places near Stazione Centrale. Speaking of which – yeah, you can walk to the train station, but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear the announcements at 6 AM.

What really won me over was the location intelligence, honestly. Via Alessandrini puts you right in that sweet spot where you can stumble back from dinner on via del Pratello (trust me, go there for aperitivo) without needing a taxi, but you’re also close enough to Piazza Maggiore that you can pop over for morning coffee at one of the real cafés. The street itself is residential enough that it’s actually quiet at night – something I definitely wasn’t expecting in centro storico. Parking’s typical Bologna chaos, but they’ll sort you out with advice that actually works, not just “there’s a garage nearby” nonsense. The 9.7 rating makes sense once you’re there for a day or two. It’s not flashy four-star luxury, but everything just… works. The WiFi doesn’t cut out during video calls, the shower has proper pressure, and the bed is actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many Italian hotels mess that up). Plus, there’s this attention to detail – like they know you might want to store some of that incredible mortadella from Tamburini in a proper fridge, or that you’ll appreciate having a place to sit and plan your day that isn’t just the bed. It’s the kind of place where you stop thinking about the hotel and start thinking about Bologna, which is exactly what you want.

  An extraordinary apartment, just as it appears in the photos. Everything is very new and very clean. Very comfortable and fully equipped. Exceptional location, 15 minutes from the train station and the city center. Restaurants, a supermarket, and luggage storage are nearby. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Access to the apartment via mobile phone. A 10-point apartment.

  L’appartamento è situato in pieno centro seppur in una zona tranquilla. È situato in un punto della città raggiungibile dai mezzi pubblici. Attorno ha tutti i servizi necessari, inclusi buoni ristoranti a pochi passi. Ho trovato l’appartamento molto curato e pulito.
  Ha tutto il necessario per il soggiorno. Il check-in molto veloce e l’accesso all’appartamento facilissimo e comodo. L’host Annalisa si è messa a disposizione ancora prima del soggiorno, spiegandoci tutto il necessario per fare il check in e accedere in struttura.

  Annalisa ist eine außerordentlich hilfsbereite Vermieterin! Die Lage ist ideal, man kann die Stadt wunderbar zu Fuß entdecken. Alles in der Wohnung vorhanden und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

  This apartment truly exceeded my expectations. Everything felt brand new, incredibly spacious, and it even had two bathrooms – more than I could ask for! The kitchen was modern and fully equipped, even though I didn’t end up using it. The charming balcony overlooked a canal (just like the apartment’s name suggests), and enjoying my morning coffee there in the sunshine was such a highlight.
  
  We had a small issue with the digital door, but the owner responded immediately and helped us out – it turned out to be our mistake, but her quick and kind response really stood out.
  
  The location is also fantastic – everything, from the city center to the train station, is just about 10 minutes away. The best apartment I had in Italy (and I visited almost 20 cities) for a great price. 10/10 would recommend!
  
  What could be improved: Everything was good. The digital lock was a little difficult to figure out at first, but it worked really well once we got it.

  Small and cozy apartment for 4 people. Host is very generous with snacks, biscuits, juices, milk, tea and coffee. Apartment is very clean and pristine and I like how there’s cabinets and hooks in the bathrooms. Surrounding is quiet but with many eateries just a short walk away. Getting into the building and apartment via an App (so you’ll need internet). There’s a small lift which is helpful as the apartment is on 3rd floor.
