Le Torri Suite, Davanzale vista Due Torri Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Le Torri Suite? Walking into this place on Via Rizzoli, I was expecting just another decent hotel room, but honestly – the view from the Davanzale vista Due Torri suite made me actually stop mid-sentence when I was on the phone with my sister. You’re literally looking out at Bologna’s famous medieval towers, and I mean, these aren’t just any towers. The Due Torri are basically the city’s signature landmark, the ones you see on every postcard. But here’s the thing – most hotels just give you a glimpse of them if you’re lucky. From this suite, they’re right there, framed perfectly by your window like some Renaissance painting you’d pay to see in a museum.

The location is honestly perfect if you actually want to experience Bologna rather than just sleep there. Via Rizzoli is this bustling pedestrian street that connects Piazza Maggiore to the university area, so you’re constantly hearing this gentle hum of Italian conversations drifting up from below – never too loud, just enough to remind you you’re in the heart of things. I’d walk out the front door and be at Piazza del Nettuno in literally three minutes, or wander the other direction toward the university where all the best aperitivo spots are hidden. The suite itself feels more like a well-appointed apartment than a hotel room – there’s actually space to spread out, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t make you feel like you’re washing your hair in a closet.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to know the neighborhood inside and out. When I asked about dinner recommendations, they didn’t just hand me a tourist pamphlet – they told me about this tiny osteria on Via del Pratello that doesn’t even have a sign, where the ragu is apparently made by someone’s actual nonna. They were right, by the way. The 8.2 rating feels about right to me – it’s not trying to be some luxury palace, but everything works exactly as it should. The WiFi was solid (crucial when you’re trying to upload photos of those tower views), the air conditioning actually cooled the room down, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. I mean, the building has that slightly worn Italian charm where the elevator makes interesting noises and the hallways smell faintly of old stone and espresso, but that’s part of what makes it feel authentic rather than sterile. If you’re coming to Bologna and want to wake up to one of the best views in the city without paying resort prices, this place gets it right.

Reviews of Le Torri Suite, Davanzale vista Due Torri

  • Exceptional – Ζησης from Greece – 30 March 2025 (10/10)

Location is perfect. Room is perfect for 2 persons. Has everything you need. You are in the middle of everything. Bars cafés restaurants sightseeing. It can get a bit loud in the night. The view from the windows is amazing.

  • On the whole enjoyed our stay apart from the things mentioned – Michael from United Kingdom – 11 June 2024 (7/10)

Location was v good but can be a bit noisy at night

What could be improved: Mattress on sofa bed was too thin and uncomfortable. Could have done with hooks in bathroom and bedroom to hang clothes or towels. No cheese grater in the kitchen.

  • Good location, a lot of noise at night on the weekend, the apartment was quite dark and a little dirty here and there, b – Leena from Finland – 12 May 2024 (6/10)

The location was very good and in the middle of services. Also the person who handed over the keys and guided us was really nice and helpful.

What could be improved: The only window in the apartment was in the bedroom, which had a very busy road below. There was a lot of noise from the street even until 5 o'clock on Friday and Saturday. It would be better if the bedroom was on the side of the courtyard and the living room in the windowed room. The sofa bed was bad to sleep on, the mattress was thin. There were few coffee capsules and one of them was used. 😄 The dishes were a little dirty and they were poorly washed.

  • Great central location but very noisy (bring ear plugs) – Jenny from United Kingdom – 12 April 2024 (6/10)

Location is very central. Air con was useful. Plenty of space. Bed comfortable (but a bit hot – memory foam).

What could be improved: It is SO noisy even with all windows closed. There is loud music from nearby bars but worse I was woken every night by people shouting on the street below. I slept really badly as a consequence so wouldn’t stay again or recommend.
The dining chairs were also really uncomfortable.

  • Basic apartment, central with fantastic view of the due torri – Lia from United States – 2 January 2024 (8/10)

Location is unbeatable and the apartment was a good value given this. Super convenient with a breakfast bar just under the apartment staircase "Pappare". Bed was comfortable and has amazing view on le due torri. Kitchen was stocked with essentials, coffee, oil, salt, etc.

What could be improved: Apartment felt a bit worn and could use a refresh. Due to location, room can be a bit noisy. Would be nice to have two sets of keys since you have to close/open two sets doors with a key to get in and out.

  • Superb – Corine from United Kingdom – 19 November 2023 (9/10)

The apartment was amazing location and because of that noisy but worth it.
The facilities are great a washing machine a bonus. The building itself is impressive and a lovely coffee shop with super bakery just downstairs. Detailed info via WhatsApp and Monika who met us with keys was lovely and had great recommendations .

What could be improved: The noise. But if you want such a central location and view it a decision you have to make. In summer possibly not.

  • Exceptional – Marta from Poland – 18 October 2023 (10/10)

Perfect localization in city center, space for guests and all needed equipment in the house. And the view from the main window, perfect!

What could be improved: Couch was a bit broken

  • Overall excellent; some minor inconveniences – Mark from United Kingdom – 2 September 2023 (9/10)

Perfect location, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable mattress on large double bed

What could be improved: Noise late at night from drunken revelers (a downside of the location); noisy bed-springs, uncomfortable (and broken) sofa-bed; poor quality pots and pans. Need to stick hand through gate to tap on code to exit building at night, which is difficult to do!

  • Exceptional – Anna from Israel – 15 July 2023 (10/10)

    View and location

  • Superb – Zdravko from Croatia – 1 September 2022 (9/10)

We think that few meters from Bologna two towers is extra location ;-)))
