You know what struck me first about this place? The moment I walked up Via San Felice, I realized I’d stumbled onto one of those perfect Bologna streets that somehow manages to feel both historic and totally livable. Just Urban Stays sits right in the thick of it all – I mean, you’re literally three blocks from Piazza Maggiore, but it’s not touristy-chaotic like some central spots can be.

The apartment itself honestly exceeded what I expected from the photos. It’s got that clean, modern vibe without feeling sterile, if that makes sense. The windows are generous (thank god, because some of these old buildings can be cave-like), and you actually get decent natural light throughout the day. I spent most mornings with coffee looking out at the street below – watching the locals head to work, the occasional delivery scooter weaving through. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, which matters if you’re like me and can’t resist hitting the morning markets around Quadrilatero. Speaking of which, you’re a five-minute walk from some of the best food shopping in the city.

What really sold me on the location was how it felt genuinely residential. Via San Felice has this great mix of local bars, small shops, and restaurants where you’ll actually see Bologna residents, not just tourists taking Instagram photos. There’s a fantastic osteria maybe two doors down that I never would’ve found otherwise. The noise level’s totally manageable – you get some street sounds during the day, but it settles down nicely in the evenings. Parking’s tricky (well, it’s Bologna city center, so that’s expected), but there’s a garage about six blocks away if you’re driving. Honestly though, once you’re here, you won’t need a car for anything. The train station’s maybe a fifteen-minute walk if you’re heading out for day trips, and the university area’s close enough that the whole neighborhood has this nice energy without being overwhelmed by student crowds. I’d definitely stay here again – it’s one of those places where you feel like you’re actually living in Bologna for a few days, not just passing through.

  We had a lovely stay at this apartment! It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect — just a short walk to the city center, restaurants, and all the main sightseeing spots. It made exploring the city super easy. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

  Very central. Spacious clean accommodation with cooking facilities. Washing machine was handy with clothes airers.
  
  What could be improved: Pillows were flat and lumpy and took two days to get more pillows sent to the accommodation. Bedding due for updating. Had to empty own rubbish which was difficult as only small bin close by and recycling was 200m away. Lift could be temperamental but it is an old building so that can be expected.

  This apartment was comfortable, spacious, in a good location (around 500 or 600 metres from the main square) and quiet. It was great to have a washing machine and the hosts had left very good instructions in English on how to use it. The instructions for checking into the apartment were sent to us well before we arrived and they were explained very well, complete with images. There were suggestions in the apartment about good restaurants, and the one we chose was so good that we ate there three out of our four nights in Bologna. We do not hesitate in recommending this lovely place.

  The apartment had everything one needed – all necessary items in the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen, including salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar, dish and laundry soaps. We didn't need to buy anything for our stay. Great location, pretty quiet at night.

  Everything was neat, the apartment was full of amenities, including small but useful things for everyday use, ideal place to stay for 2-3 persons. Amnd also very convenient location.

  It was located perfectly, near the city centre, but all windows were looking to the inner side, so it was quiet. Very warm and clean, comfortable bed, enough towels.
  Washing machine, which is important for the families.
