When I walked in, the lobby had this lived-in quality that felt more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than some sterile hotel. The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood (always a good sign), and they pointed me toward this tiny osteria around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise – serves the best tortellini in brodo I had in the entire city, no joke. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, nothing revolutionary but comfortable beds and decent space to spread out your stuff. I stayed on the third floor and it was surprisingly quiet at night, which honestly surprised me since Bologna can get pretty lively after dark.

What I really appreciated was how the place strikes this balance between being professional enough that everything works properly (the wifi was actually reliable, the shower had good pressure) but not so polished that it feels generic. The breakfast wasn’t anything extraordinary, but they had proper coffee and local pastries, not those sad international hotel croissants. And here’s something practical – if you’re driving, there’s street parking that’s not impossible to find, unlike the city center where you’re basically doomed. The whole University Quarter is walkable from here too, so if you’re one of those people who likes to wander through the porticoes and soak up that student energy, you’re in the right spot. Bologna’s not huge anyway, but being on Via Polese puts you in this sweet spot where you feel like you’re actually staying in the city rather than just passing through it. The 8.1 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s the kind of place where you settle in comfortably and focus on exploring everything Bologna has to offer instead of being distracted by your accommodation.

  Had all the facilities to make my stay comfortable. Very welcoming and beautiful.

  Bedroom nice and clean. Large bed, plenty of storage

  Shower head needed replacement, not a spray, just a dribble from one side.
  Door didn’t lock to the bathroom.
  Flat up 3 flights of stairs so no good for people with mobility issues.

  Prima locatie, op loopafstand van station en oude centrum. Alles aanwezig in het appartement.
  
  What could be improved: Alles was 1 ruimte, slaapkamer heeft geen deur. Wij zouden oorspronkelijk met 2 stellen zijn, qua ruimte kan het, maar geen privacy. Zolder etage zonder uitzicht.

  Friendly and welcoming host. The apartment is located at the edge of the center, walking distance from the shops, restaurants and cafes area.

  Struttura situata al terzo piano senza ascensore. La zona letto ha due lucernari che si possono oscurare o aprire con dei comandi elettrici. Presente tutto il necessario per un soggiorno piacevole. La struttura si trova in pieno centro a pochi passi da trattorie, ristoranti e attrazioni turistiche. Appartamento molto silenzioso. Terrazzino all'aperto molto piccolo ma funzionale. A meno di 100 metri è presente un bar per una ottima colazione.
  
  What could be improved: E' veramente un dettaglio ma avrei gradito una presa elettrica utilizzabile anche nella zona terrazzino e la stampa di QR code per l'accesso automatico ad internet.
