This place sits right on Via dell’Indipendenza, which sounds touristy but it’s actually perfect because you’re literally a five-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore without being stuck in the chaos of the historic center.

The apartments themselves feel like someone’s well-off Italian aunt decided to rent out her extra places. I mean that in the best way possible – there’s this lived-in elegance that you don’t get in cookie-cutter hotels. The kitchens are actually functional (shocking, I know), with real appliances and enough space to make more than instant coffee. My apartment had these gorgeous high ceilings and original tile work that probably dates back decades, but the WiFi was solid and the shower had proper water pressure. The staff treats you more like a temporary resident than a tourist, which I loved – they’ll give you the real scoop on where to grab groceries or which trattoria is worth the wait.

Here’s what really sold me on the place: you can walk to Due Torri in about eight minutes, hit the university area just as quickly, and – this is key – you’re close enough to the train station that dragging luggage isn’t a nightmare. The street can get a bit busy during the day since it’s a main thoroughfare, but honestly the windows are solid and it quiets down nicely at night. Parking is… well, it’s Bologna, so forget about driving anyway. The 9 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be some flashy international chain, it just does everything really well. The kind of place where you actually feel comfortable cooking breakfast instead of hunting for overpriced hotel coffee, and where you might catch yourself thinking “I could live here” instead of just “I’m staying here.”

  The appartment was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Location is great, 15 minutes to the train station and close to the historical center of Bologna. There was a technical glitch in enterying the appartment but it was properly addressed. The appartment was very quiet.

  We had a wonderful 2-night stay at this apartment in Bologna. The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of the city, on a lively shopping street, yet incredibly quiet and peaceful inside. The host was very responsive and helpful, answering all our questions promptly. The room was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the little treats provided in the room – such a thoughtful touch! The bed was also very cozy. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend it.

  Location is perfect. There is a nice small lift, so you do not need to drag your suitcases upstairs. Very very clean. Also the bathroom was very spacious in our apartment. The regular bed is comfortable. Our room could accommodate max 2 persons, unfortunately booking is offering it for 3😬
  
  What could be improved: The room is very small, definitely not suitable for 3 persons. The "sofa bed" is very bad and falls apart during sleep, therefore should not be recommended for sleeping at all.
