But that’s actually part of its charm, you know? It feels like you’re staying in someone’s stylish apartment rather than some sterile hotel chain.

The location is what really sold me on this place. You’re literally a fifteen-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, but here’s the thing – you’re far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night. The street itself is pretty quiet, mostly locals going about their business, and there’s this great little osteria about three blocks down that I stumbled upon purely by accident. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for Bologna standards (anyone who’s been here knows space is premium), and whoever designed it actually gets what travelers need. The kitchen isn’t just for show – I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to hit the Mercato di Mezzo and grab some local ingredients. The Wi-Fi is solid, which honestly can’t be said for every place in this part of the city.

What impressed me most was how they’ve managed to keep that authentic Bologna feel while still being genuinely comfortable. The building has that old-world Italian character – thick walls, high ceilings, the kind of shutters that actually keep the summer heat out. But inside, everything works properly. The shower has decent pressure (a miracle in some Bologna accommodations), the heating system isn’t temperamental, and the bed is actually comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night. The hosts clearly know their stuff too – they gave me tips about avoiding the crowds at the university area and pointed me toward this incredible gelato spot that definitely isn’t in any guidebook. With a 9.1 rating, I get why people keep coming back here. It’s not trying to be fancy or Instagram-perfect, but it nails the basics while giving you that authentic slice of Bologna life that’s getting harder to find these days.

  This is less than 10 minutes walking away from the train station and just next to a bus stop. Also, 2 supermarkets are 2 minutes nearby, so it's super convenient. Everything works great in the apartment

  Owners allowed us to check in earlier than it was planned. We travelled with kids and very highly appreciate it – it was super helpful for us.
  City is awesome and worth visiting itself or use it as a "base" for travelling to Firenze/Pisa and other places around.
  
  What could be improved: Apartment equipped with boiler, so you have a limited capacity of the hot water, we had issue one day and tried to use as small as possible after to allow the whole family to take a shower.
  Apartment is not equipped with the dishwasher, and it would be beneficial to have it, but not so critical.
  Communication was challenging but fixed it talking directly through WhatsUp.

  It was superclean, well decorated and situated. Felt really at home.
  
  What could be improved: The lock with the keys in it wasn’t easy at all to open, after a few minutes I nearly gave up. With luck it sprang open, one of the hinges doesn’t give way when on the correct numbers.

  What could be improved: The air conditioning system worked fine for the bathroom and living room, but in the bedroom it worked only at times and was a bit too noisy. Also in the kitchen there are two strong blue LEDs that cannot be turned off at night.
