You know what struck me first about House Under the Tower? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re standing on via del Carro – you can literally see the Torre degli Asinelli looming right there, and honestly, it’s kind of magical having one of Bologna’s most famous landmarks as your neighbor. The location is brilliant in that effortless way where you stumble onto the best stuff without trying too hard.

Studio Vita clearly knows what they’re doing with this place. It’s got that refined boutique feel without being precious about it – you know, the kind of spot where the design feels intentional but not like you’re afraid to actually touch anything. The 4-star rating feels right; it’s polished and thoughtful without the stuffiness that sometimes comes with fancier places. I mean, an 8.4 rating doesn’t happen by accident, and you can tell why pretty quickly. The rooms have this warm, lived-in elegance that actually makes you want to hang out there instead of just crashing for the night.

But here’s the thing that really sold me on this place – via del Carro puts you right in the thick of things without the chaos. You’re basically a five-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant tourist foot traffic outside your window. I could walk to Osteria del Sole for a proper Bologna lunch, then wander over to the university area without any of that exhausting logistics planning you usually have to do. The morning sounds are just right too – enough city life to feel connected but not so much that you’re up at dawn listening to delivery trucks. And parking… well, this is Bologna, so you know it’s going to be a bit of an adventure, but the location means you can actually walk to most places you’d want to go anyway. There’s something genuinely relaxing about being able to duck out for an aperitivo and not have to think about metro schedules or taxi apps – just walk, enjoy, come back when you feel like it.

  Die Unterkunft war wirklich schön, dem italienischen Standard entsprechend sauber. 100 m von den zwei Türmen entfernt, etwas laut, aber das störte uns nicht. Sehr gutes WLan.
  
  Einzige Makel: bei der Fernbedienung des Fernsehers war die Batterie leer und die Mobile Klimaanlage war am zweiten Tag defekt.

  Appartamento carino, ben arredato e pulito. Stanze ampie e cucina bene accessoriata. Perfetto x due persone nel centro della città. Staff molto cortese e disponibile, abbiamo avuto un problema alla caldaia e lo hanno risolto velocemente..

  What could be improved: The appartment doesn't have airconditioning. In our stay the temperature was around 38 degrees so it got pretty hot inside. There were 2 ceiling fans but these weren't any help with the heat in the appartment.

  Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Dużo udogonień typu pralka, żelazko, drabina. Pokój bardzo czysty i miła obsługa.
  
  What could be improved: Wejście do apartamentu prosto z chodnika. Drzwi przepuszczają każdy dźwięk a pod nimi stoją ludzie i piją alkohol oraz robią siku. Powinny zostać wymienione na dźwiękoszczelne. Apartament jest blisko barów co jest plusem ale też minusem. Musieliśmy prosić ludzi aby zeszli ze schodów przed drzwiami byśmy mogli wejść do apartamentu.

  What could be improved: Vicino al centro ma, purtroppo, zona troppo rumorosa. Essendo al piano terra, il casino della sera è un po' troppo invadente.
