The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury, but everything works well and the beds are actually comfortable (which, let’s be honest, is half the battle in Italian hotels). The 7.6 rating makes sense too; it’s solid without being spectacular, though I think some guests might dock it points for the street noise in the morning. Those cobblestones amplify every delivery truck and early-rising local, but that’s medieval city center life for you.

What really works here is the location – and I don’t just mean it’s “conveniently located” like every hotel claims. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, but more importantly, you’re in the heart of the old Jewish quarter where some of the best little osterie are hiding. There’s this tiny place around the corner that serves the most incredible tortellini in brodo, and the hotel staff actually knows about spots like that instead of just pointing you toward the tourist traps. The area gets pretty quiet after dinner service winds down, so if you’re someone who needs absolute silence, maybe pack earplugs for weekend nights when the university crowd is out. Parking is… well, it’s Bologna’s city center, so forget about driving here. But the train station is close enough for a reasonable taxi ride, and honestly, once you’re settled in this neighborhood, you’ll want to walk everywhere anyway. The whole experience feels like staying in someone’s well-appointed home in a part of the city that hasn’t been completely overrun by tourism yet – which in Bologna is saying something these days.

  What could be improved: Purtroppo per il prezzo richiesto mi aspetto che l’appartamento sia splendido splendente.
  Attenzione non sporco, ma si capisce che la pulizia è stata fatta un po’ alla carlona!

  Posizione ottima, appartamento molto carino e accogliente. Proprietà molto disponibili e organizzati. Abbiamo potuto raggiungere Bologna in treno proprio grazie alla posizione strategica. Nonostante facesse molto freddo in quei giorni in casa si stava benissimo. L'ultimo forno abbiamo potuto usufruire del deposito bagagli.
