The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out — they’ll point you toward the best restaurant for dinner or tell you which market has the freshest produce on any given day. Parking can be tricky in this part of Bologna (it’s an old city, after all), but they’ve sorted that out, which honestly removes a major headache.

• Good apartment near station – Rosemary from United Kingdom – 31 May 2025 (8/10)

  Relatively spacious, good for station, well-equipped in the kitchen, comfortable bed. Staff were very responsive.
  
  What could be improved: The shower functions really well, but the cubicle needs replacing, it leaked water all over the floor. The staff were very helpful in providing extra towels so we could mop up. I’m told they are working on getting it fixed.
  It seems some previous guest had removed the card-operated rubbish bin which should have been in the apartment and we were told to find a street bin to put our rubbish in. Really I think we should have been able to leave our rubbish in the bin under the sink, given the appropriate bin was not there to use.
  Everything else was very good.

  The location is perfect. The building is right next to Bologna Centrale train station. We could walk to most tourist locations from there. Our host welcomed us in and let us know the basics. The apartment was clean, and it had enough space for a small family.
  
  What could be improved: Not having a dishwasher and an automatic coffee maker (there was a mocha pot) was a letdown for us. There is a laundry room in the building, but the washing machines and dryers are not in good shape; some parts like handles are broken.

  It was very clean, we had everything that we needed at the property. The staff was incredibly nice, helpful and prompt with responses whenever we had a question or issue. I dropped a ring inside the radiator and Sofia was there in 2 min to help us get it back, she was so sweet. The location was also perfect, we could walk for 5 min to the train station, and 15-20 min to city center, so we highly recommend.
  
  What could be improved: Seeing as we are not Italian, we did not know about the temperature limitations due to Italian law, and it would have been nice to get a heads up about that because we did find the room to be colder at night than we would have preferred. Also, we were places in the room right next to the entrance, meaning that we could hear every one of our neighbors getting in and out of the house when opening the gate, which was kinda loud. One night at 2am some neighbors woke us up by calling the intercom (probably because they forgot the code) and it was very distressing. Obviously the last part was not the property owner’s fault, but maybe if you’re a light sleeper you should opt for another room in the house. Everything else was just lovely.

  It was just like the pictures, right next to the train station which was great for us. It was very clean, and it had all the necessary amenities in the kitchen. There is also a place to leave and lock your luggage which van be used after you check out, and that was also very helpful. The staff is also very responsive and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The AC was not working, and it got hot in the apartment. We needed to sleep with the windows open, but there were a lot of mosquitos, and since we were on the ground floor we could hear the cars and people passing by, talking.. later in the nights it got quiet.
