The rooms are what I’d call “intelligently sized” – not huge, but every square meter is used well, and there’s something refreshing about the minimalist approach after dealing with cluttered hotels elsewhere in Italy. What really impressed me was the attention to sound insulation; Via Alberti isn’t exactly a main thoroughfare, but even so, nights were genuinely quiet. The beds are firm in that European way that either works for you or doesn’t – personally, I slept great.

You know what sets this place apart though? The staff actually knows the neighborhood. I asked about morning coffee spots, and instead of pointing me toward some generic café, they sent me to this tiny place two blocks away where the barista makes these incredible cornetti. That’s the kind of local insight that makes a difference. The breakfast situation is pretty standard continental fare, but honestly, when you’re in Bologna you should be out exploring the morning markets anyway. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – there’s no dedicated lot, but the front desk folks know the street parking patterns and which spots turn over when. Check-in was smooth, none of that “your room isn’t ready until exactly 3 PM” nonsense.

The location really grows on you. Sure, you’re not stumbling out your front door onto Piazza Maggiore, but you’re genuinely in a neighborhood where people live and work. There’s a small alimentari around the corner, a decent wine bar about five minutes away, and the bus connections are actually better than being right in the center where everything’s pedestrian-only. I noticed the area gets this lovely evening rhythm – people walking home from work, families heading to dinner – that you completely miss in the tourist zones. The 8.1 rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.   Ruim appartement, prima bedden en een goede locatie in Bologna. Het centrum van Bologna is prima te belopen (15-20min) en de wijk waar het appartement ligt heeft voldoende voorzieningen (bakkers, supermarktjes, cafe en restaurants).
  Verder een prima (persoonlijke) begeleiding en informatie vanuit de verhuurder (Get the Key verhuurbedrijf).
  
  What could be improved: De bovenburen van het appartement waren soms goed te horen. Niet iedere dag en meestal in de ochtend. Als je de hele dag in Bologna op pad bent is dat geen probleem. Als je lange tijd overdag in het appartement wil blijven dan kan het storend zijn.

  Prima locatie, op loopafstand van het centrum, en niet te ver van de Fiera. We hadden mooi weer en de tuin en het privé terrasje waren fijn. Vriendelijke oudere buren (eigenaar?). Goede bedden. Parkeren in de tuin. Ontvangst van Federico was prima. Mooi ruim appartement!
  
  What could be improved: Lawaaiige bovenburen (jong gezin) die vooral 'smorgens vroeg veel lawaai maakten met schreeuwen en schuivende stoelen over de marmeren /tegel vloer. Misschien dopjes onder de stoelpoten zetten?

  spacious apartment, big enough for the 6 of us! The apartment is very nice and it has two outside areas. Gated parking was also useful. It was a nice location, about a 20 minute walk from the centre.

  Küche sehr alt, das Geschirr in den Schränken war teilweise dreckig aber es gibt eine Spülmaschine (Tabs müssen gekauft bzw. mitgebracht werden)
  Die Heizung hat nicht gut funktioniert und durch die Fließen am Boden war es sehr kalt, sowie generell das Klima in Bologna sehr hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit. Warm/ Kaltwasser vorhanden; Bettwäsche und Handtücher vorhanden.
  Die Einrichtung ist ganz nett gemacht und hat einen netten Stil (abgesehen von der Küche). Der Garten ist relativ ungepflegt aber es gibt einen Balkon mit einer Bank und einer weiteren Sitzgelegenheit sowie einem Plastiktisch mit ca. 6-8 Plätzen, kein Grill vorhanden.
  Reinigung wurde durchgeführt, aber es war leider leicht staubig in den Ecken und unter dem Betten, sowie im Bad waren benutze Shampoos und Duschgels von vorherigen Gästen.

  Check-in/ Check-out hat super geklappt, auch zu den gewünschten Zeiten. Sandra am Telefon war etwas unhöflich als wir nachfragten ob wir auf dem Parkplatz auch zwei Autos stellen können (Platz ist groß genug). Die Bewohner der Hauses sind unglaublich freundlich und haben uns erlaubt das zweite Auto dort abzustellen.
