The building itself has this weathered charm that screams “I’ve been here for centuries,” and the vintage theme isn’t just marketing fluff. They’ve actually done something thoughtful with antique furniture and period details that feel authentic rather than forced.

The location is pretty brilliant if you know Bologna at all. You’re about a three-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore (seriously, I timed it), but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos that comes with staying right on the main drag. The street can get a bit lively in the evenings since there are some bars nearby, but it’s more of a pleasant hum than anything disruptive. What I really appreciated was how walkable everything becomes from here — Torre degli Asinelli is basically around the corner, and you can reach most of the key sights without ever needing transport. Plus, there’s this fantastic little osteria called Al Cambio just two blocks away that serves the best tortellini in brodo I’ve had outside someone’s nonna’s kitchen.

The 4-star rating feels about right, though I’d say it leans more toward the boutique experience than traditional luxury. The rooms have character — exposed beams, vintage touches, decent bathrooms — but don’t expect ultra-modern amenities or marble everywhere. The 7.8 rating seems fair too; it’s solid and charming, but there are small things that keep it from being exceptional. Check-in was smooth enough, though the front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, which is pretty standard for these smaller heritage properties. Parking is… well, it’s Bologna’s city center, so you’ll want to use one of the nearby garages rather than hunting for street spots. The Riva Reno garage is probably your best bet, about a five-minute walk away. Overall, if you’re looking for something with personality in an unbeatable location and you appreciate staying somewhere that feels connected to the city’s actual rhythm rather than isolated in a hotel bubble, this place delivers. Just don’t expect perfection — expect charm, convenience, and that particular satisfaction of staying somewhere most visitors never discover.

  The location was excellent and the apartment well appointed. Balcony was a good point.
  
  What could be improved: Kitchen facilities were poor. Lack of implements and a set of basic goods would have been good ie. S/P /oil .
  No cupboard space for bought goods and no option if you don't drink Italian coffee – a cafetière would have been good.

  Very large apartment with plenty of space. Everything was well laid out & comfortable. Hosts were very communicative & met us to give us the keys & explain the facilities. Great location making it easy to walk around Bologna. Everything required for our stay was provided.

  The apartment is spacious and well equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, smart tv, soaps, cleaning products, coffee and tea). The location was great. Wi-Fi was excellent. The area was quiet.

  What could be improved: The agent who was supposed to meet us to give us the keys was more than 20 minutes late from the preset appointment and with no contact number to call. We stayed in the street with kids in the cold just waiting. When she arrived, she just complained about how busy Bologna was these days!
  There was a bad odor in the kitchen the first two days but it disappeared later, we didn't know the source.
  Some bed sheets had old stains although they are clean. I think they should be replaced to give a better impression about cleanliness, which was good.

  Excellent location, great interior design with 2 bathrooms. Can easily fit 6-8 people if needs to. Living room and rooms were extremely spacious. Kitchen was also very well equiped. Easy check in and check out.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately, it wasn't very clean as the floor was very dusty. We did also find a sock under one of the sofas and some peanuts under the other one. Under the beds, it was also very dusty and couldn't find a vacuum or even a swiffer to take the dust away. I think it is an easy solution to make it perfect.

  Perfect location. Short walking from the center and from the train station. All shopping, restaurants and main sites are close by. Even when we were in the center, the apartment is quiet. It was well equipped and beautifuly organized.
  
  What could be improved: Most of the downsides are typical to Italy: you have to schedule with someone to pickup the keys (though the representative was super nice). The elevator was very small and slow.
