Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of Bologna apartments, and this little gem on Via Sante Vincenzi honestly surprised me. You know what struck me first? The address itself – 42/5 means you’re on the fifth floor of building 42, which I mention because the views from up there are actually pretty decent. You can see across the rooftops toward the university district, and if you crane your neck just right, you’ll catch glimpses of the Torre degli Asinelli in the distance.

The “Cozy Studio” part isn’t just marketing speak – it really is cozy in that good way, not cramped. I mean, sure, you’re not getting a sprawling suite, but everything’s been thought out. The kitchen setup is surprisingly functional (I actually cooked a few meals there), and the bed situation works well even if you’re traveling with someone. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night – Via Sante Vincenzi isn’t one of those main drags where you’ll hear scooters buzzing around until 2 AM. The neighborhood has this residential feel, but you’re still maybe a 15-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore if you cut through the right streets.

Honestly, the location is what makes this place special. You’re in Navile, which tourists often skip, but it’s where actual Bolognese people live and work. There’s this little market on Via Azzo Gardino – just a few blocks over – where you can grab fresh produce and actually decent coffee for breakfast. The university area is close enough that you’ll see students around, which keeps the energy up without feeling too college-town chaotic. And here’s something I didn’t expect: parking is actually manageable around there. Not easy, exactly, but doable, especially compared to trying to park near the center.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home that they’ve opened up to travelers, not some sterile rental unit. Little touches everywhere – decent lighting (thank god), a proper shower with actual water pressure, windows that open wide enough to get a cross-breeze going in summer. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not flashy, but everything works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, the host clearly knows their stuff, and honestly, by day three I felt like I was just… living there, you know? That’s the mark of a good place.

If you’re the type who wants to experience Bologna like you actually live there for a week, rather than just hitting the tourist spots and moving on, this is your spot. You’ll find yourself shopping for groceries, figuring out which café has the best cornetti, maybe even recognizing the neighbors. It’s that kind of place.

  We had a great stay in Maddalena's very cosy apartment. It is located in a quiet neighborhood in Bologna, close to train station Bologna San Vitale. Some cute cafes and restaurants are located in a short walking distance. Highly recommended!

  Very nice apartment a bit out of city centre. Maddalena was extremely nice and welcoming. She replied very quickly gave as recommendations for food and drinks and we enjoyed it a lot. Apartment was amazing, cozy and very clean. I recommend to stay here you will have great time.

  Everything was great! We communicated easily, the hosts are great people. The apartment is clean, has everything you need, from a hair dryer to an iron. I didn't feel anything missing and the bed is divine. We slept like babies. 30 min walk from centre, 3 minutes from Lidl, 10 minutes from bus.

  En el apartamento había muchos productos en la cocina (comida) y baño, la terraza y la decoración. Y los detalles que había estaban muy cuidados
  
  What could be improved: La ubicación. Esta a 25/30 minutos del centro andando y al volver de noche, como la ciudad esta poco iluminada, daba sensación de inseguridad.
  En el bloque de pisos no está indicado el número del piso y Luigi al recibirnos, no nos indicó que piso era, solo el número del puerta.

  Bellissimo appartamento, arredato con gusto e dotato di tutto ciò che può servire. Fornito di cibo e acqua, prodotti da bagno, biancheria, libri, utensili da cucina…c’è veramente tutto! Curato, profumato, un posto meraviglioso! Poi Maddalena è davvero gentile! Ci tornerò sicuramente!
