Cozy House Bologna Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Cozy House Bologna on Viale Angelo Masini, you immediately get the sense that this four-star property lives up to its name. It’s not trying to be flashy or intimidating — instead, there’s this welcoming, residential feel that makes you think you’re staying at a well-appointed friend’s place rather than just another hotel. The building itself has that classic Italian charm without being overly ornate, and honestly, the whole vibe just feels right from the moment you arrive.
Prime Bologna Location
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re in one of Bologna‘s most sought-after neighborhoods, but it doesn’t feel touristy or chaotic. Viale Angelo Masini puts you close enough to the historic center that you can easily walk to the main attractions, yet far enough away that you get to experience how locals actually live. The tree-lined street has this lovely residential character, and I noticed couples seem particularly drawn to the area (which makes sense given how romantic those evening strolls can be). You know what’s great? You’re within walking distance of some fantastic trattorias that most tourists never discover.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in struck that perfect balance between comfort and style — not too minimalist, not too cluttered. The furnishings feel thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered from a hotel catalog, and there’s actually enough space to spread out your belongings without feeling cramped. What impressed me most was the attention to lighting — they’ve got it figured out with a mix of ambient and task lighting that makes the space feel cozy in the evening but bright enough for getting ready in the morning. The beds are genuinely comfortable too, which isn’t always a given even at four-star places.
Neighborhood Dining & Atmosphere
One thing that really sets this place apart is how it connects you to authentic Bologna life. There’s this excellent local restaurant just a few blocks away that I stumbled upon during my stay — the kind of place where you hear more Italian than English, which is always a good sign. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality where you’ll see families heading to the market in the morning and friends gathering for aperitivo in the evening. It’s the Bologna that guidebooks try to describe but rarely capture.
Why Guests Love It
I think what makes Cozy House Bologna special is how it manages to feel both polished and personal. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience rather than just going through the motions, and the property itself has this warmth that bigger hotels often lack. The location consistently gets rave reviews because it offers that sweet spot — close enough to everything you want to see, but situated in a way that lets you experience the real rhythm of the city. For couples especially, there’s something about this area that just works — maybe it’s the quieter streets for evening walks, or the way the neighborhood feels romantic without being overly precious about it.
Locals suggest to book apartments in Bologna around Santo Stefano for quiet cloisters, wine bars, and weekend antique markets.

Reviews of Cozy House Bologna
Exceptional – Velyo from Bulgaria – 4 June 2025 (10/10)
I had a truly wonderful stay at this apartment. Its location in a quiet area was perfect—peaceful yet just a 15-minute walk through charming Italian streets to the city center. The apartment itself was very comfortable and well-equipped, with everything needed for a pleasant and hassle-free stay. The host was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and very supportive. They went above and beyond by helping us retrieve a forgotten valuable item for my wife, which truly made us feel cared for. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay with a warm host!
Spacious apartment in a great location! – Katarzyna from Poland – 27 May 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is located in a great, safe and quiet place. It is spacious, clean and includes everything you need – even 2 TVs with netflix!
In addition, the property has a balcony – the perfect place to spend the morning with breakfast!
A big plus for the support and service of the manager (Leo)! Very friendly and helpful! I will definitely come back to this place!
What could be improved: None – everything was great!Good – Gail from South Africa – 26 May 2025 (7/10)
Great modern apartment with balcony.
Number of items missing in kitchen such as pot lids that fit, wine glasses and a tray/rack to cook in oven. Leo kindly sorted most of this out for us though.
Apartment very close to Ecu and Conad for groceries.
Ample supply of tea, coffee and sugar.
Washing machine and drying rack on balcony are very handy.
What could be improved: Shower malfunction (both rain shower and hand held showers turn on), the lever does not work to have one or the other. Drain in shower gets blocked.
Left over shampoo, sun cream etc from previous guests should be disposed of.
There was supposed to be cookies and water, these items were not there.Bologna Central appartment – Jolyon from United Kingdom – 19 May 2025 (8/10)
The city centre location and space in the appartment were great. The security was also very good as was the manager, who dealt with a very tricky situation very well. Being close to the city centre and only 10 mins walk from the main station made access on foot very easy. The secure parking was worth paying for too.
Thr manager Leonardo was always available if needed and very helpful and personable throughout. He really knew Bologna and facilities and gave helpful advice.
What could be improved: The shower did not work properly leading to flooding in the tray. When raised, the manager organised a clean of the drain, which helped, but the problem remained with controls allowing two shower heads to operate at once and difficulty getting temperature to stay constant. The equipment in the appartment was minimal and not enough to cook in, but ok if you mainly eat out.Exceptional – Adelaide from Portugal – 4 May 2025 (10/10)
Leo is an excelent host, very kind and available. The apartment is located just outside the city historic center, quickly acessible after a day walking around, but distant enough to escape the noise. Would highly recommend.
Great flat for exploring Bologna. The host of property was very friendly and accommodating. – Debbie from United Kingdom – 19 April 2025 (9/10)
Bright, modern very spacious and stylish property. Large bathroom with spacious high pressure shower. Open Plan design with a Massive balcony great for a small family! Great lighting and an excellent TV for relaxing
between activities.
Fabulous location and few minutes walk to the train station and bus station. It’s a short walk to the centre of Bologna!
What could be improved: Nothing this property was excellent it felt very safe and the external garden area to the property is gated at night with a fob key entry system. Beautiful situation so close to everything you need, supermarkets across the road and we found a fun little restaurant with a rock music theme called The Jukebox cafe – a 5 minute Walk
In a straight line forward!Modern and clean apartment with convenient location – Chi from Hong Kong – 17 April 2025 (9/10)
It’s around 12 min from the train station and about 15min to the old town center so quite convenient. The apartment is very clean and modern as shown in the pictures. The host Leo is very responsive and helpful.

Bologna – City of Porticoes – Adrian from Romania – 19 October 2024 (10/10)
The apartment is very well located in a nice condominium, at a short distance from Coach Station (Autostazione) and Railway Station having all the necessary facilities in place, inclusive all kitchen appliances.
Our very kind host was very happy to explain about Bologna, what to explore, where to eat and other useful tourist info for our first visit.
Accommodation was at a high level of quality, helping us to spend pleasant time in Bologna, a very nice city, the food capital of Italy.
Our intention is to return here to enjoy more of the Bologna famous attractions.
