Casa Farina Overview

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to 4 Via Carlo Jussi – it’s this fairly quiet residential street that honestly looks more like where locals live than where tourists stay. But Casa Farina is tucked up on the fourth floor (there’s an elevator, thank god), and once you step inside, it’s actually this really thoughtful little gem that someone clearly put a lot of care into.

The thing about Bologna is that you’re either staying near the chaos of the university area or you’re somewhere boring and far from everything – but this place sort of splits the difference perfectly. I mean, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, which sounds like nothing until you’re dragging luggage through those narrow medieval streets. Here though, you get this residential neighborhood vibe where you can actually hear yourself think, but you’re still close enough that grabbing dinner in the centro storico doesn’t feel like an expedition. The morning sounds are just normal Italian life – maybe some traffic, people heading to work – not drunk students or tour groups gathering at 7 AM.

What really got me was how the place feels like someone’s well-designed apartment rather than a hotel room. The attention to detail is honestly impressive – I’m talking about things like really good lighting (not those harsh overhead bulbs you usually get), proper hangers in the closet, and a bathroom that actually has counter space for your stuff. The bed situation is excellent too, which matters more than people admit when they’re writing reviews. I slept better here than I have in some five-star places, if I’m being honest. The whole setup just works – it’s modern without being sterile, comfortable without being cluttered.

And here’s something nobody tells you about Bologna: parking is an absolute nightmare if you’re driving, but this area is actually manageable. I mean, you’ll still need to figure out the whole ZTL situation (those restricted traffic zones that’ll get you a hefty fine), but the neighborhood has street parking that locals use, so it feels less impossible than staying right in the center. Plus, you’re well-connected to public transport if you need to get around the city or catch a train.

The only thing I’d mention – and this is pretty minor – is that being on the fourth floor means you hear the elevator sometimes, but honestly, it’s not really disruptive unless you’re an extremely light sleeper. It’s just one of those things you notice because everything else is so quiet and well-maintained. The whole experience feels like you’re getting insider access to how people actually live in Bologna, rather than being stuck in some tourist bubble. That’s worth a lot, especially in a city where the good stuff often happens in residential neighborhoods anyway.

  Soggiornare presso questo appartamento a Bologna è stata un’esperienza davvero piacevole. L’ambiente è accogliente e pulito, con tutto il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole. Il proprietario è stato estremamente gentile e disponibile, fornendo tutte le informazioni necessarie per rendere il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole. La posizione dell’appartamento è ottima, situata in una zona tranquilla ma comoda per raggiungere il centro città e le principali attrazioni di Bologna. Consiglio vivamente questo alloggio a chiunque cerchi un posto accogliente e ben curato durante la propria visita a Bologna.

  Ringraziamo di tutto cuore Antonio di "Casa Farina", per l'accoglienza e la gentilezza che ci ha mostrato.
  È un persona straordinaria, gentile, disponile e molto cordiale.
  L'appartamento è, a dir poco, SPLENDITO. Arredato con cura, raffinato e molto accogliente.
  È dotato di ogni confort.
  Abbiamo soggiornato a luglio e nonostante facesse un caldo insopportabile, l'appartamento climatizzato è stata un'oasi, una vera coccola.
  Comodissimo anche l'ascensore.
  La cucina è dotata di tutto l'occorrente per viverla. Non manca proprio di nulla!
  Le due camere matrimoniali sono veramente molto belle e i letti matrimoniali sono ampi e comodissimi.
  L'appartamento ha anche due balconi, uno in camera e uno in cucina dove si può fare colazione e godersi il panorama.
  All'interno del cortile è disponibile il parcheggio privato, molto comodo per scarico e carico dei bagagli, una vera chicca, considerato anche che nelle grandi città non si sa mai dove parcheggiare la macchina e non sai se te la ritrovi come l'hai lasciata o se te la ritrovi.
  Ultimo, ma non meno importante, è vicinissimo alla tangenziale (2/3 minuti di percorrenza)
  Questo è stato senza dubbio un eccellente soggiorno che non dimenticheremo!!
