The balcony is what sold me initially, I mean, who doesn’t want to drink their morning espresso outside? But what I didn’t expect was how quiet it actually gets there in the evenings. This place though – maybe it’s the way the building sits, or the fact that Via Caldarese doesn’t get much through traffic – you can actually hear yourself think. The balcony overlooks this little courtyard situation that feels almost private, which is rare in Bologna’s centro storico. I found myself staying out there way later than planned, just watching the way the light hits the terracotta rooftops around sunset.

What really impressed me was the attention to detail inside. The Wonderful Italy folks (and yes, I know, the name sounds a bit much) actually seem to care about the small stuff. The shower pressure is decent – not amazing, but better than most places in old Bologna buildings. The kitchen has everything you’d actually use, not just the bare minimum. I ended up cooking a few meals there because, honestly, the local market on Via Drapperie is like a five-minute walk, and there’s something satisfying about making pasta in an actual Italian kitchen, even if it’s just for a few days. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which matters if you’re trying to work remotely or just want to video call home without constant freezing.

The location really works if you want to experience Bologna like someone who lives there rather than just checking boxes. You’re maybe ten minutes on foot from the university area, where things get lively in the evenings, and the walk to the Two Towers takes you through some of the city’s most beautiful porticoed streets. There’s this little osteria called Al Cambio just around the corner that locals actually go to – not the kind of place you’d find in a guidebook, but the type where the owner remembers your wine preference after one visit.

One thing worth mentioning – and this is probably why the rating sits at 9.8 – is that check-in was refreshingly straightforward. No waiting around for someone to show up, no complicated key situation. Just clear instructions and everything worked exactly as described. Sometimes that’s all you need to start a trip on the right foot. The whole experience felt less like staying in a rental and more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment. If you’re planning to spend any real time in Bologna and want a base that feels authentic without sacrificing comfort, this is probably your spot.

  First of all the apartment was super clean and had a lot of equipment. We felt there very comfy. Second of all the location was perfect, super close to everything we wanted to see. Also the owner I guess, was waiting for us to check in, he was really friendly and helpful. Definitely book this apartment if you are going to travel to Bologna. We cannot complain on a single thing, truly perfect apartment.

  Alessio bizi çok güleryüzle karşıladı ve evi anlatıp anahtarı teslim etti. Bologna için bize şehir rehberi ve restaurant önerilerini paylaştı. Evin konumu two towers a 2 dk mesafediydi. Ulaşım konusunda çok rahat ettik. Ev çok sessiz ve konforluydu. Ayrıca balkonunun olması hoşumuza gitti.

  Appartamento nuovissimo e in zona centrale (veramente a tre minuti dalle due torri) con due bagni, una zona giorno accogliente e una camera da letto. Consiglio assolutamente un soggiorno in questa struttura e anche il rapporto qualità/prezzo veramente ottimo.
