I’ll be honest, when I first walked up to number 16, I wasn’t expecting much from the street view – Bologna’s like that, these gorgeous places hide behind pretty ordinary facades. But once you’re inside, the space has this refined, almost understated elegance that feels authentically Italian rather than trying too hard. The apartment setup means you get way more room than your typical hotel box, which is actually huge when you’re dealing with Bologna’s notoriously compact city center accommodations. The kitchen situation is legit too – I mean, you’re in a food city, so being able to grab fresh tortellini from the market on Via Ugo Bassi (literally a five-minute walk) and actually do something with it? That’s gold.

What really won me over was the neighborhood vibe. Via Goito puts you in this sweet spot where you can grab morning coffee with actual locals instead of tour groups, and the evening aperitivo scene along nearby Via del Pratello feels genuine rather than performative. The area gets quiet at night – not dead quiet, but that comfortable residential hum that actually helps you sleep. Parking can be a bit of a dance if you’re driving, but honestly, that’s Bologna for you, and the train station is close enough that you might just skip the car rental altogether. The 8.7 rating makes sense once you spend a night here – it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it nails all the things that matter when you’re actually living in a place for a few days. Plus, the host clearly knows their stuff about the city, which saved me from wandering around like a lost tourist more than once.

  Sehr gute Lage, zentral in der Innenstadt, in einer ruhigen Nebenstrasse. Historisches Gebäude mit viel Charme. Viele gute Restaurants, Läden und Cafés in der Nähe. Sehr komfortables Badezimmer. Netter Gastgeber, alles unkompliziert.
  
  What could be improved: Wir waren während einer Hitzewelle in Bologna (Temperaturen zwischen 30-35 Grad), dagegen kam die Klimaanlage nicht an, obwohl sie während unseres Aufenthalts repariert wurde. Die Klimaanlage war ziemlich laut, so dass wir sie nachts ausschalten mussten. Ansonsten waren wir aber sehr zufrieden mit allem.

  The location was perfect from the point of view of access to major historic sites – 6 mins to Neptune Square and also only a few minutes to several supermarkets and very fine food shops. It was useful to be 20 mins from the railway and bus stations and there were plenty of bars and restaurants along the street.
  The kitchen was pretty well equipped with crockery and cutlery but no oven which was listed on the booking.
  The bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi and shower – all very clean. There was a little street noise but it didn't reall disturb us.
  
  What could be improved: The furnishings left a bit to be desired. All clean and usable but it seemed odd that the only way to fasten the bedroom cupboard was by tying the two handles together. The comfort of a bed is a very personal thing and I don't like memory foam mattresses but I do understand that a lot of people do.
  There was no tourist information in the apartment or anything to welcome you to Bologna. To be honest the gentleman that met us couldn't wait to get away!!

  What could be improved: Il prezzo comunicatoci per il parcheggio nell'area a traffico limitato (Garage San Pietro) non era corretto (da 30 a 40 euro al giorno). Pensavamo di trovare il divano letto già pronto, invece si trattava di prepararlo e di mettere le lenzuola. La via sottostante è stata rumorosa, probabilmente perché si trattava di serate del weekend, con musica e schiamazzi fino almeno all'una di notte. L'acqua della doccia tardava a diventare calda.

  Cerca del centro. El sofá cama es para dos personas La cocina estaba equipada con todo lo necesario. El baño con ducha y bañera era enorme.   We've stayed in many apartments in Bologna, and have never been disappointed. Among them, this apartment was definitely the best one.
  First of all, Goito Street, where this apartment is located, is located in the center of the old town, so it's convenient to go anywhere. There are also many popular and delicious restaurants on Goito Street. It's also close to a large supermarket, and the security is very good.
  The room is perfectly equipped and clean, so you can live without any inconvenience.
  Of particular note is the luxurious bathtub, which is rare in Italy.
  We usually like to take baths, so we were able to enjoy it to the fullest.
  The people at the apartment management company were also very friendly, and they responded promptly to our inquiries, so we could rely on them very much.
  If we come to Bologna again, we would like to stay at this apartment again.

  The location is very good. It takes around 15 min. to Bologna centrale and main bus station. From airport we came with taxi. Easy and affordable price.
  
  The rooms are large and clean. The bulding is old but renovated. There is an elevator.
  
  A lot of supermarket , restaurant, bar options nearby. Very close to main historical points.
  
  What could be improved: The equipments and furnitures are a bit old. The atmosphere of the apartment should be improved by some renovation. The heating in bedroom makes sound because of the fan system. The max temp. is limited to 20 centigrade.
